Hey guys look Im gonna get the pivot 15 or 18 will i be fine on the 18? Im 5'9 160 I would prefer the 18s just because I can find em cheaper than the 15s but if I can't rock em its not a big deal. Thanks guys

Forza or die. In all seriousness though if you’re riding 8 DIN or higher pivot 18s should be fine. DIN range on the 14s is 5-14 while the 18s are 8-18.

obv this isn't an exact answer, we need more info and you could plug it into a DIN calculator, but i don't think it sounds like you're in the DIN range for 18s unless you crank the hell out of them. i'm a little bigger than you and very aggressive and i'm def not in the 18 range

it's been hard for me to ascertain over the years if it's a myth that you don't want to be at either extreme range of your binding's din range, but i've heard it from some very knowledgeable people including on here that yes it is a concern, and bindings are so important safety-wise that i'm inclined to act taking that as fact

I'm 6'3 175 and been riding the p18s for years at 11 or 12 din situationally, I'm gonna get 15s this year just to switch it up. If you're riding with a din between 10-12 I'd say it doesnt matter which you get. Riding a din>12 I'd get an 18, and a din

18s should be fine, assuming you want to set your DIN at least 8. Any new bindings should work at the full specified range. If new bindings fail a torque test, you were sold defective bindings and should get the manufacturer to replace them.
