Pivot 15 vs 14

slightly different din range, same heelpiece, different toe piece. 12s and 14s have the plastic toe piece, 15s and 18s have the metal toe

15s and 18s typically more expensive of course. heavier but more durable. what's your height weight skier type? do you trash gear and/or try to keep it for a long time?

I picked the 12 cuz I’m 150lbs and like my equipment to be very lightweight. My Vs feel like nothing on my feet when I’m in the air.

280g weight difference per pair

yeah (assuming the google top result was correct each time. they definitely sound right offhand)

attack 13 - 2065 a pair

pivot 14 - 2210 grams per pair

STH 13 - 2270 a pair

pivot 15 - 2490 a pair

so you can choose where you want your weight basically in ~0.5 pound steps. i wouldn't overthink it unless you know youre seriously concerned with weight. personally i can't imagine getting pivot 14s over 15s because of the weight difference

I measured the "height" of the different Look/FKS toe pieces and if you want the "lowest profile" binding, the 15 or 18 are your best bet.

There may only be a 0.73mm difference between how high you your boots sit when comparing the 14 to the 15, but durability also plays a role.

Wets. I have attack 14s on my keys. Kinda wish I went with pivots but I got a good deal on ‘em.

I have 14s and 15s, biggest difference I notice is how they ski and not really the weight. The plastic toe feels a lot more elastic and surfy, the metal toe feels more locked in and inspires a lot of confidence

Only difference between 12 and 14 is the spring. 15 has different design, all metal toepiece. Pretty sure the heel also has more metal on the 15 but it's the same design as the 14. Use what's best for the DIN you ride at
