The heel piece of my pivot 12 bindings ripped out of my skis after dropping them down to click into. Had taken a hard fall maybe 2 runs before. Luckily wasn't skiing when they came off... The threading is still on the screws. What is the cause of this and what can I do from here, who would I contact for a warranty?

Thanks!

Well it won’t be a warranty in this instance. Best best is to go get it helicoiled. Basically a plastic or possible metal insert is put into the hole and the binding is reinstalled. Other option is to remount at a slightly different position. When you take them to a shop have them check the core is not rotten but hopefully you just ripped it out in the fall and the core is good still. Does happen way more with pivots then other bindings due to the small hole pattern in the heel.

Who ever mounted the skis probably spun the screws when they mounted them basically stripping the holes and when you ate it the ski probably flexed and popped what thread was left so when you dropped the ski the heel piece just fully popped out. Helicoil and keep ripping
