so i drop my skis off a 2 weeks ago to get em mounted. today the guy calls and says they cant, cuz the boots have risers on them. and they wont refund me, when the guy looked at them teh day i dropped them off. im gonna kick some ass.

the boots have risers? as in the bindings won't fit onto the boots? If that's the case, why don't they just plane em down to the proper level (or have a good bootfitter plane the soles down so they are the right height.

Wtf? That boot is messed up. I reckon that might not actually fit under the heel-piece. which would explain why they couldn't be mounted. If there's too much heel, then the binding won't 'snap' down, cause that elephtine heel 'ill be in the way.

Well, I know this is an old thread now, but if you are still having problems, take them to the shop that put the heel peice on and have them grind the top of the heel lip (I never know how to describe that part of the boot) to bring it back down to the proper size.

Just an example, Green Mountain Orthotics does a similar type of boot mod, but they do not let them out the door without grinding the boot back down to a proper size.

i ended up buying new boots. the guy that sold them to me wouldnt refund it and claims there fine.
