i had a pirate party for my birthday in kindergarten, there was a balance beam that was supposed to be the "plank" and eyepatches

i went as a pirate on halloween one year when i was a little kid. it was pretty fuckin sweet because I had the sword and hat and I think my mom even gave me a fake beard. but i had an eye patch on and i couldn't see shit out of my one eye of course, so I had to take it off and I feel like I let down pirates everywhere because i couldn't hang with the eye patch.
