my editor also wants to know how to set up adobe to capture from an analog source

(he's super good at pinnacle, just isn't too familiar with adobe)- but he needs to use adobe because i want some different effects, like a rewind effect.

you cant transfer the movie file with all the edits and everything since they are separate programs made by different companys. What you need to do is export an AVI out of pinaclle and then just import the AVI into premiere

as for analog, you just gotta change the captrure source... usually done by changin it from DV-IEEE to Video For Windows (or quicktime)

dude, just choose file, import, and choose the file you want. If it is still a pinnacle file, then you will have to export it from pinnacle and then import it into adobe, but you said it was an avi file, so you should have no trouble.
