Instead of fucking around with the invasion of Afghanistan like he did I would have mobilized as quickly as possible, most of it was just for show. It gave Osama plenty of time to escape to Pakistan

Taken personaly initiative once it was clear that Fema wasnt doing its job. By not preparing properly even before the storm much less in the days after.

No, the situation is not entirely his fault, but he is definately a willing participant. Our government has been applying most of this policy for decades, however.

He is basically the front man for the system, the guy we are supposed to blame for everything that is wrong and we forget that it is the system itself that is corrupt. We whine about him and naively believe that everything will be better with the next guy (or gal). Then its the same old shit. I wonder how long they can keep this up before people figure out whats going on and.... what to do about it (Ah, theres the rub).

Maybe I wouldn't have gotten us into a growing multi-billion dollar deficit, an unnecessary war, and actually reacted to Katrina as well as we've done for the Southern California fires.

Also, I would have been respectful to the UN's decisions, and I would have made a better effort to create peace in the Israel situation by instead of fueling it by giving Israel weapons, and working out peace without the use of killing many innocent people and children on both sides (mainly the Palestinian side, with the exception of the idiot suicide bombers), but that's a whole bag of shit I don't wanna open right now because nobody on either side will change their views.
 
bro..did u catch the part where he mentioned the war in afghanastan? cuz thats the 1 i was talkin about...u cant expect us to be attacked and not strike back. that would send a message to everyone in the world that we are weak and we would stand up and defend whats ours.
 
Umm but we arent trying to kill innocent Iraqis... Were killing Saddams peeps and the fucking anoying insurgents who are the ones responsible for the deaths of innocent people. Yes some innocent people may have died and thats horrible but its not like we are targeting them...

The 'insurgents' didn't show up till after we got there. And Saddam's peeps weren't terrorists.

The charges they hung Saddam for were almost all directly or indirectly supported by our government at the time. We provided intel and supplies for chemical and biological attacks against Iran. Some bad shit went down, but to put it all on him is moronic.

right you are my friend i was wrong to say that and that slipped my mind. and i see you have a very strong opinion about this actual topic, which is fine. but remember this topic was started from a song of a pop singer. i see youre a very liberal cat yourself which i have no problem with. the big guy has made many mistakes and does concentrate far too much of his affairs on international affairs. as for domestic tragedies, YES there should have been attention and help there FAR sooner then there was in new orleans with katrina and bush absolutely should have known what was going on prior to his arrival, yes we all know his famous brownie quote. but the failed support structures protecting new orleans from the floods they experienced...is that his fault? those structures needed attention far before he became president. and as for california, groups of those fires were started by a little kid playing with matches....the WILD fires spread as if they were a flood heading down a mountain. hence the word wild. the fires took an exceptionally long time to be put out and thousands of people lost there homes. but the temperature and environment in california ...every year around that time is set up for that. now in greece this past year, how tragic were those fires...far more spread then californias. not trying to cause an argument here. but planes and copters were flying in water around the clock just to see the fires spread more. fires are a hard character of nature to fight...in any country, with any leader
 
my apologies, but the last time the president's annual salary was increased was 2001, after clinton's presidency. yes i was wrong by stating the prior of 250,000k. its now 400,000k. not including the HUGE amount of money that is spread throughout the treasury, white house and other house appropriations committee approved agencies.

honestly...who fucking cares? she's a singer and she has a voice like all you who like to bitch and complain. she's just famous which just makes it so that a larger amount of people hear her. there are equal and opposite sides to this equation, she is just one single person voicing her opinion and there are obviously others who may disagree with those statements. if you honestly and sincerely care about this topic then i would suggest you write her, or get a bunch of people to sign a petition saying they shouldnt play the song or whatever, just do something rather than going on a freeskiing website to verbally attack her because that wont change anything.

i dont really like getting caught up in political bull crap but i do personally think the song is harsh, and i may not agree with everything she says, but i understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and im open and willing to listen to others.
 
I think you missed the point.

Pretty sure he was refering to backroom financial incentives for advancing a company's political interests. Cheney and his stock options in Halliburton would be an obvious example of this.
 
I'm going to say i hate the song because

A. Pink knows absolutely nothing about making music and never will

B. Pink knows nothing about politics, domestic or foreign policy, or education reform and certainly never will

C. I hate it when musicians get political like this, especially shitty ones.

Long story short, even though G.W. is arguably one of the worst presidents we've had I don't exactly think that Pink has the knowledge, experience, and position to be telling anyone anything about it.

George Bush gets blamed for alot of things he himself did not put into action, such as No Child Left Behind (introduced by Ted Kennedy), Katrina (which was asking people to mobilize 2 weeks before the storm hit), and the state of poor people in this country. With Katrina, government intervention seemed insufficient because so many stupid fucking people stayed in their homes to wait out the storm, which the government did not anticipate, when they could have walked 2 miles inland and been safe. We the same employment rate in this country as when Clinton was president, the same Taxes, and a steady economy. I'd say he did some things right, like keeping the country stable.

I'm sorry... but the CIA intel that 'Iraq has WMDs', was just the end product of an effort to come up with an excuse to go to war that the public would accept. Real intel (without an agenda), like anything from the International Atomic Energy Agency said otherwise.
