so im currently in the first week of my ten week study abroad program in guadalajara everything is cool here and i like it alot but today we go down in a group of five to check out the centro where they have like a shanty market area. so i consider myself to be decently street smart and although this is the first time ive ever been alone in a foreign country i am very into the whole idea of backpacking all over the world so you know i do know whats up when your in a foreign country and on top of that i know spanish well enough to communicate clearly most of the time but today i made such an amateur mistake. all day i kept my wallet in my front pocket cause i know that i stand a good chance to get pickpocketed. about halfway through the day i buy some foakleys and afterwards i put my wallet in my back pocket just out of habit. it couldn't have even been ten minutes later and i had already been pickpocketed. those fuckers are slick man i didnt feel a thing and nobody in my group saw anything suspicious
i guess the moral of the story is even if you think you know what your doing, when you are a foreigner people are extra aware of you and how they can take advantage of you, be careful!
 
what i do is i take the electric wire out of my local farms electric fence, put it my back pocket along with some tissues to make it look quite appealing, and as soon as that fucker reaches in my back pocket. BAM!

but really; that sucks, be careful out there
 
that sucks man. +vibes. its weird though I always carry my wallet in my front pocket. I think its very uncomfortable if I put it in my back pocket
 
good thing i dont carry a wallet. if ever i go someplace like that i want to set a wallet trap for fun
