Pick me a longboard

Im leaving for college in a few weeks and really want to get a new board before then. I had a board, but it was really old and wound up breaking. The university is outside of a city, in like a suburban area, so I'd like something that can maneuver fairly well, but I also love just carving hills too. I'd also say Im a fairly intermediate rider. Any suggestions?

take a look at sector nine boards, theyre mass produced and not as expensive but still pretty good. if you can afford it, I would say loaded dervish or vanguard. go to silverfishlongboarding.com, its a nice small longboarding forum

I looked at sector 9s and was about to get one until i saw the krushedskull. They look pretty legit and that thread only says good things about them. Thanks bro!

After watching that, how could you not wanna buy one???

ok I know the thread creator has already purchased his longboard, but I have a few things to say.

A lot of people hate on sector 9 because theyre so common and kinda played out. fin, but if its your first board, its cheap and its a good place to start longboarding and start getting stoked on longboarding. you can always buy a landy evo later, when youre comfortable going 80 km/h. so dont call them GAY GAY GAY, theyre spreading the stoke. oh and billabong just bought sector nine, keep an eye out for some major changes in s9, advertising, marketing, sales etc.
