congrats to nick.iodice for winning the last contest in a runner up situation because the winner flaked out
these have been great success so far, let's keep it up
the roolz:-you may post 1 PHOTO ONLY, i know it's hard but try to edit down-if your photo strays from the topic, explain why-no hating other people's photos, constructive criticism only-no voting for your own photo-we will have a voting thread to determine top 5, then we will vote again to find the winner-post your own photos, please don't take other people's-click on embedded photos before judging, NS drains the color from them-winner chooses the next topic-you cannot win 2 times in a row, you can win twice, just not in a row, bambam cannot win this contest
Topic: Emotion from nick.iodice

No, I don't mean black fishnet and crazy piercings. Emotion, to me, is the best part of photography. It is also the hardest to capture well. Capturing emotion in a photograph will make your photo stand out a lot more than a simple smile or faked pose. Real emotion cannot be faked, and when captured correctly, it really helps your photo tell a story to the viewer.

This topic does not even have to include people, take it as you will, but provide a description if you think it may need a bit of explaining to get the point across. Emotion can take many forms- all the way from a facial expression to a "moody sunset". A singled out dying rose, for example, gives off a very different feeling than a flowering rose in a garden. I urge you to get creative and hopefully, even if you don't win, this topic will help you get some good shots for yourself.

Here is my entry.....It was taken on a Nikon D200 with a AF fisheye 10.5mm 1:2.8. I felt that this was one of my more recent pictures that showed true emotion.

ight i'm leaving for chile tomorrow so i don't have time to shoot emotion shots, here's what i have as of now
i find this expresses that puppy look of "i'm gonna act forlorn so you think i'm cute so you won't notice the pee on the floor...hehehe"

gracias...we found this pasture of horses as we were driving down the road and stopped, then after about 30 mins of petting/shooting the horses a sketchy icelandic farmer who doesnt know english came out and told us to get off his property only using hand motions. he was protective of his horseys

Sup homies, heres my entry, it was from a trip i took to honduras. I think it conveys good emotion. ie. optimism in a clearly less than ideal living situation. check it out in my flickr linked below for better quality.Cheers.

well, i'll break the constant stream of DSLR pictures. I don't remember the settings i was shooting at. I probably have better emotion photos, but i like this one.
