it's the very beginning of the contest, you've got tons of time to go out and shoot man. try not to file pull unless you aren't really able to go take some photos, but it is a sick picture by the way. just trying to encourage everyone to go out and shoot for the contest!

also i'm really stoked on winning, thanks for all the votes guys!!

just got my 5d mkII and headed to marthas vineyard for the week. awesome timing!

I'm heading yo NYC tomorrow and apparently there's some music festival so I'm siked!

Maybe I missed something, but where do we post the pictures? IN this thread?

Gah, same as mine, such an awesome camera! I've got the 50mm f/1.2 which is an amazing lens, I highly recommend it.

Here's the lens, SO MUCH GLASS:

(Sorry for being off topic)

My summer has consisted of about 6 out of 7 days a week being rainy.... awesome!!! For a dirt biker, rainy days are like pow days- you just can't beat it. Anyways, this is one of my favourites from our last, particularly wet ride. BRRRAAAAAPP

Rain actually makes your photo more interesting because it makes surfaces that wouldn't normally reflect light, reflect light. Pavement for example gives off awesome shimmers.

ah, that lens is sexy. a lil outta my range right now though. im working on getting a metered prism and new glass for my Mamiya 645

Every year I go camping up in Voyageurs National Park (Northern Minnesota) we boat out to an island and just chill for a few days. The other side of the lake is canada. 'MERICA

I really like this a lot. Not only becuase of the vintage film feel it has, but because you actually took it on a film camera. Which is boss. Thumbs up for having the same camera as well!

Why do you have to send c-41 out for special proccesing. Its the most commonly developed film. Thats sick your shootiing leica but why the mamiya and hasselblad? Both medium format with hasselblad having better optics. Keep up the good work.

Well, it seems that most photo places are now only printing, and no where near even touches the film. So I save the hassle and just mail it direct, much easier. I like the Leica for the 35 obvi, and the Hassy is just the most superior in quality. I have a pistol grip and both 35 & 120 backs for it, fun to switch up. While the hassy has a waist viewfinder. All for whatever I'm feeling like shooting that day. It's nice to be able to easily carry your medium format with a pistol grip for a few hours, not as much with the boxy hassy.

Over the past week I completed the West Coast Trail of Canada's Pacific Rim, National Park. This photo really embraces the beauty of the trail and how it is a backpacker's paradise, literally. To me, summer is about spontaneity and adventure. I was munching out, drunk, in my friends kitchen a mere month ago when I blurted out randomly: "Dude, want to do the West Coast Trail?!" and now, it's history. So here it is, get out there and do something you never thought feasible.

thats exactly correct. thats the beauty of summer, there is plenty of time to kill. so those spontaneous trips usually result in the best memories and experiences, due to the fact that there was no planning, and no room for disappointment resulting from anticipation.
Looks like a incredible coastline btw.

I will totally enter once im back on internet that can upload a photo faster than 1 bit per month.
