PHIL OR HENRIK?

Both are sauce bosses but Henrik is just on a different level than literally every skier in the world right now and has been that way for a while

I did.

Henrik is undoubtably the better overall skier, but personally I feel Phil has better style.

100%, I voted Phil in the OPs poll.

“Phil>Henrik” read to me like you were tryna say Phil is better overall, which is just not the case

Ah yeah, Phil > Henrik in the context of this thread.

Change my mind:

Henrik = ODB

Phil = GZA

Hmm...disagree. Henrik isn’t nearly as loose or out there as ODB to me. I’d say Henrik is more of a RZA or maybe a Method Man. Both have cross over appeal and can sort of do it all. Maybe even GZA because they’re both so technically proficient.

I’d say Phil is more like Ghostface. A mad genius with a totally unique approach who is somehow still under appreciated.

I agree with this, Phil has the best style overall, although they have somewhat similar styles. I'd love to see a guy with clean fresh like prime wallisch again. But yeah Phil is so flowy and clean in his own styling way

I like watching Phil ski just a bit more simply due to what he typically skis .... street parts are my favorite to watch hands down.

I feel as though their styles are matched, Phil is in a way, has a more creative skiing style where his tricks and shots involve a massive amount of technical ability and control even if the trick is not at its core a "tech trick" because of this I think Phil is he more swerve oriented of the two. Henrik competes in a more mainstream stage doing tricks that many of us would consider boring at this point because theres about 1000 euro 12 year olds who can dub 12 both ways in every direction. However his choice of grabs and dripping style in and between tricks is enough to make angsty swerve skiers (like myself) tune in for at least 2 minutes of the x games every year. In conclusion: Phils style embodies the roots of modern street skiing while Henriks unbelievable landings and precise grab/shifty combos make for what has clearly been one of the most important influences on STYLE in freeskiing history. I seriously wish I could choose between who has a better style, thats the point of this thread anyway its like asking which glass of water has a higher concentration of H20 in it.

Remember kids, stay out of the park until you've developed your own style, then you can start learning tricks. Nobody wants to watch you front two off the flat bar while waving your arms around like you're in front of a used car lot.

I dont think I've ever had a more woah woah woah reaction a post in awhile. Phil is not swerve, he is what I might call clean drip. I am 22, I dont have a park 'style' but you can bet your ass I'll be at the bone zone this fall trying to learn to slide better, likely waving my arms about. If you're hating on anybody for trying to get better, you're an asshole.
