Pettitor what else in quiver ?

Hey ! I got a pair of 169 Pettitors. I am 5,5'' and 145 ..... I am looking for a pair of powder skis so I can put my Barons on.... would you recommend me going for 179-185 cm and what is a good underfoot waist ?? Would it be dumb to buy a 179 Pettitor ?

If you've got the Petitors as you pow/everyday ski, why not get a proper touring rig?
 
They is no way you want to be on skis 180+. Especially if your touring you want something light. Around 170-175 will be good depending on the ski.
 
If you're going for a more dedicated touring set up considering your current set up, I'd go:-mid 170s

-flat tail

-directional

- ~110 or so underfoot, if EC maybe a tad skinnier, if out west you could go wider.
 
For Europe you could comfortably go ~100 underfoot for touring. I'm going to be touring in Europe next season, and I'm looking at the Faction Agent 100s.
 
For example, if I go with the touring skis of Volkl, I am just super scared to destroy they jumping off cliffs, especially underfoot .
 
Yeh if you want more of a freeride touring ski, I wouldn't go for skis like those in the volkl tour range. Look for a ski labeled as 'freeride', that should accomodate your needs.
 
I use 115's for touring around here...

all preference..

depends if your after light weight or shredding down...
