Petition to get a pro skier to ski with me.

Hey guys, I'm hoping this works so we're gunna keep our fingers crossed.

Some of y'all don't know this but I didn't sustain any terrible injury last ski season. I also don't have any rare diesease that could kill me. I do however have an extremely low resting heart rate that might be a problem when I'm older.

This season I want to take a lap with a pro and finally learn how to 2 out of rails or even a damn tube. That's it. I'll even accept amateurs because that'd be awesome.

I've got a copper pass for the first time in my life too so if that helps make a decision for anyone then sign me up!

If anyone wants to take me up on this offer let me know. Because that'd be so sick.

If anyone else wants to be a hype man for me that's also accepted and I'll repay you with high fives and maybe a beer.

Thanks newschoolers!

Go to a tell a friend tour stop.

Problem solved!

Also, I'm sure any pro you see at Copper will be more than willing to take a lap with you if you just ride up to them, introduce yourself, and ask.

Ah - yeah TAFT is too far away for that to be an easy solution.

Keystone must be loaded with pros every single day, though right?

Lol why would you get the impression I'm mad? I'm just trying to be helpful. Most of these guys are chill ass dudes.

That didn't translate well. That was geared towards a British dry humor style "are you MAD?" Or also seen as are you insane?!

lol to slang mis-interpretation.

Definitely start to get a feeling for who the people are. You can always get a bit of an idea by noticing the brands they're wearing, and then comparing that to edits you watch on here coming out of those zones.

The oher guy was right though, most of these guys are just regular dudes. If you don't fan girl on them and just ride up the chair and have a regular conversation like they're a normal human you can make friends like any other skier.

Go to Beartooth basin in the summer and you will be overwhelmed by the skill surrounding you. That place is like 75% big-name pros early in the season.

So just find someone that looks like a pro in their ski gear and ask them to ski a lap. Never hurts to meet someone new and maybe you will unveil a pro.

None of you guys are wrong. I'm hoping I ask if someone is pro and they're not and now I have a new friend who just brings hammers haha.

Do yourself a favor and don't go around asking random people if they're pro...it'll make people think you're a kook.

Dude if you ride A-Basin, Copper, and Keystone, you are absolutely surrounded by pros/semi pros/nearly pros/old pros/ams and groms that are 13 and can dub.

Get a membership to the Woodward at copper.

You don't need a pro to show you how to 2 out of rails or tubes. Huck it 3x and you'll land it. This is one of those situations where the solution to both problems (wanting to 2 out and ski with a pro) is the same: have a little balls and step up.

Don't come on too strong, don't be too needy or clingy and just be yourself. Be friendly and social and put out good vibes and focus on skiing and the rest will come.

How old are you?

What dies low resting heart rate hade to do with problems when you are older? Mine is 42 it's not a health condition it's just a result of being fit. Is there something you are withholding?

I haven't spoke with a cardiologist but my PCP told me there's a good chance I have a minor blockage that was handed down from genetics. Mine is a 48 but I've also got pretty severe asthma.

Lol this was all very misconstrued. I just wanted to see if I could convince NS to get some random pros to ski with me. And I'm old enough for this to be weird.

In a shocking twist of events, Newschoolers is actually TOO helpful. We should document this.

If for some reason I'm in your zone, I'll line it up.

it would be cool if any pros came to my lil Australian non perisher mountain except for the kids who think they are good cos they are sponsored by volkl and can flat 3

if you come to utah i'll ski with you

I accept hahah. With my copper pass I get 3 days at some resort in Utah. I just can't remember which one. It's only an 8 hour drive so it's super doable.
