Petition for LOVENINJA to get a rainbow name

For sure. I miss that crazy bastard :(

You know that LOVENINJA is a skater and runs those gnarly Special Forces training type marathons, right? Not a "flamboyant" person at all.

Until Reese actually comments, this thread is one of the stupidest things I've seen on ns. It will probably still be so after he comments.

I honestly really doubt he'd care. Pretty much all the gay dudes on this site are just regular guys like anyone else. Shouldn't leave out the girls either.

I think it's just a joke and while pointless I don't think it's intended to be malicious and though I obviously can't speak for him, I don't feel like ninja would be upset at all.

He's a cool guy and I can't see him getting mad about something like a thread about rainbow icons. But you're right, although at the same time it is nsg.

Definitely no hate intended at all. I completely respect all gays for who they are and this thread was just meant to be a little joke but has turned into a bigotry shitstorm :(

I guess I shouldve seen it coming since it is NSG...

I was talking to my friends about how Malcolm has been changing his name color all the time and that he has almost had every color of the rainbow. Then it hit me, rainbow colored names.

Sort of lame but whatever! You're here!

hahaha, I am definitely not a homophobe you are just trying to start an argument. I have many family members who are gay that I frequently talk about this subject with. They agree that the needs to be the center of attention is something that bothers them about some gays as well.

Being gay does not mean you have to act feminine. Besides, how do you know im not gay in the first place?

I understand where you're coming from but society kind of fucked people up in a way. If you've never felt like you belonged anywhere and were on the outside all the time, maybe you'd be more apt to try to grab peoples attention.

The same that I can understand people coming out and seeing what they thing being gay is, then diving head first into it and embracing it fully.

The feminine thing sucks because it isn't real. Not saying there aren't people like that, gay or straight, but it sure as hell isn't everyone. I don't like when gay people try so hard to fit into the stereotype, that they lose you they really are along the way. It also kind of sucks because then people assume that that's all gay people and can't wrap their heads around the fact that many gay people are just your average guy/girl and aren't different at all other than whom they're attracted to.

I don't dislike gay people, I dislike fake people.

This is also why if I call out NS'rs while riding I try not to tell them my username haha

I don't know how much any of you know about Arabians Antics, but he basically destroyed NS via hacking multiple times hahaha

arabian was the most gangster transexual ive ever had the pleasure of knowing via the internet. He was going to become a she when she left the site rigt? or am I thinking of someone else. Either way what happened with that?

haha i was being sarcastic, but that was fucking hilarious. the cult and everything, what was it called again? I remember the name being something blatantly obvious like "hack ns cult" or similar to that

Yes, yes I am aware of that. We're even fb friends. However, he kept posting via aliases for ages. And he would still be the one to deserve a rainbow name.

I agree 100% with what you just said, everything there really makes sense. That is what I was trying to say bothered me about the gay stereotype before I was accused of being a gay-basher and a homophobe.

I actually have a really good personal example that relates to what you were saying at the end there. My Grandpa was in the navy for many years during the most war-ridden time in our countries history. He was the captain on a destroyer for a long time before he was honorably discharged. He then had a wife and a child, my dad. From there he became the CEO of Levi Jeans for about 25-30 years and then retired. Sounds totally normal right? No special quirks? Well my Grandpa finally came out to the world that he was gay about 20 years after having his son. I personally had no clue he was gay until my dad told me when I was like 15. That is the ultimate testament to the normalcy of being gay, I knew my grandpa my whole life and never once assumed he was gay until I was told so.

Probably a little harsh on my part (I have no excuse), but making a blanket statement about a group of people that act a certain way is how discrimination is bred. And more and more often it's not an actual thing based on experiences its just generalizing and then following the trend. I just don't think it's right to say "the ones that act like me are fine but if they stick out they just want attention" It's like the saying "don't judge a book by its cover" for example, I've known some people that initially seem really cool but then turn out to be shitty, fake people. Maybe try to look past your bad first impression of one of these guys and actually get to know them, then decide if you hate them. Sure you can instantly make a judgement based on what they look like, their mannerisms etc but you don't have a clue what the person is like until you sit down and talk with them. If behavior that's more "feminine" bothers you so much that you don't ever want to get to know any of them, that's cool. But it doesn't give you the right to generalize about a group of people that you know very little about. There's a massive amount of internalized homophobia in the gay community, with "masculine" guys bashing "feminine" guys and vice versa, and it's just people judging each other because they're different. I'd wager your relatives fit more into the "straight-acting" portion of the community based on your post, and you shouldn't let their negative opinions inform your own views. Make up your own mind, based on your own experiences.

Not trying to argue, just clarify what I meant with that post.
