i mean, come on.. the original one is fucking ridiculous. ghost pages, and who wants to see almost 400 page tabs on your home page?

it wouldnt be soo terrible if it looked like this..

post your latest purchase page 1, 2, 3....375, 376, 378

i dont know what the big fuss about the one that was made temporarily was??

can we get a new one? please.
 
This(post your latest purchase page 1, 2, 3....375, 376, 378) or make a new one. I agree, its kind of annoying how it takes up so much space.
 
ehh that thread would be awful to bring back. So much butthurt from kids it was insane. Yet yes, there are a few of you that did agree with the decision. Sadly, I don't think it will happen soon. Not with the reaction last time around.
 
do you think they just bitched about it so much because you put "rules" in it?

take out the rules. and maybe they'd be nicer about it?

agreed. I mean come on...the current one takes up half the page.

It's not as if people are referring back to any previous pages either. You post, there's maybe a short discussion, but new page means new topics.

Same exact topic, just part 2.
 
Not being a dick, but how many of you actually read the other people's posts about their purchases? I know I don't.
 
Exactly why we dont need 300+ pages to sit there when nobody refers back to it...
 
it'd be nice just to not have that thread at all. Yes I know i've posted in it a couple times, but what is it? people showing off annoying clothes and bragging, then a bunch of annoying 13 year olds get into fights about supreme. It's a pointless thread
 
Actually, PYLP threads are common in forums, so it makes perfect sense to have it here.

If you want to see a pointless thread, look at 90% of the other threads in NSG. Complain about those.
 
Good, because how about they just delete the thread and move on, if somebody makes another one, somebody makes another one.
 
Thats what i say.. the bitchong woulf stop after the first couple pages, and they would move on.. 1337 shouldve stuck it out...
 
You guys really have such a problem with it?

It takes 3 seconds to recognize a ghost page, none if you're able to figure out that it's 19 posts more (changes infrequently) than a regular page should have.

I don't think it takes up any space at all.

Only problem I've ever had with ghost pages is on mobile where you can't select your page, even then, it's only a 3 second fix.

 
It's not that it's precious. It's just not a big deal in my opinion.

However, I wouldn't care if a new one came out.
 
its pointless having all those page numbers when the only ones looked at are the most recent pages, so yeah ill "sign" this too, i hate having it take up so much space since its pointless
 
This. Occasionally I'll look down the last page, but the rest of the time its like, really, 400 pages? No way I'm gonna read any of the shit other people posted.
 
So we delete the current one...the next will accumulate pages just as fast. How often do we can one and restart the next?
 
50 or once it reaches three rows of page numbers after the thread title.. sonthing reasonable.
 
and it was a bunch of kids who want to be mod and were pissed that they didnt get it.

except for the ghost pages, I'd be ok with that.

The [1,2,3...373,374,375] idea is used on pretty much every other forum I've visited. Any thread who's page count exceeds the same line it is on just does that.
 
Ok so I'll bring this to the attn of Cmac and see what he says about condensing the pages like that. Then go from there. Not sure its something can be implemented but can't hurt to try.
 
yea.. is there a way for mods or what not to delete those pages when they occur?

Try to get posts deleted 100% when you delete them though, some sort of new system would be required.

is that what ghost pages are? ghosts of the deleted posts?

i figured it was just the ungodly amount of pages there throwing off the post count/server/idk. haha
 
Ghost pages are impossible to remove. We tried in a cult to see if you could "catch up" but once we filled the current pages it added another ghost page. And we can only delete post by post or all together.
 
ghost pages happen when a reply is deleted, but only when it is deleted on a previous page.

So say a thread is three pages long. Before a mod could get to some porn posted on page two, the thread hit 101 replies and the new page was made (page 3). After it was deleted, it sucked a post back from page 3 (only 100 posts in the thread now, so two full pages) but the system still believes there is 101 and keeps page three.

So threads like PYLP, there have been 19 posts now? that have been removed from previous pages once the page after was created.
 
ahh.. that makes sense now..

you'd think there'd be some way of deleting a page completely. if not on a mod level but on someone higher up..
 
ns is that pimp ass impala with hydraulics, subs, custom paint, playing rap music that you see driving around and a couple of white guys piled in it.
