Personal Opinions of Resort Employees

What are your personal opinions about resort employees?

My personal opinions.. resort employees are trash, they don't wear steezy gear by Columbia or The North Face. To make matter's worse they are very scrubby at skiing despite the fact that they have the opportunity to ski for Free or Cheap every day and any day they so please. Their grungey ways are offensive to all us NORMIE people who only come on weekends, and hollidays and wear gear by AK and Pret helmets with the earpads still on them (yes they don't wear the right helmets or the right way.. some don't even wear helmets.. get with the program people!).

a lot of the ones ive worked with personally are just all punk-ass trustafarians on a 6-month ski vaycay courtesy of mom and dad, have terrible work ethic, entitlement issues, never get shit done, and always buzz off before the season ends cuz the work is "too tough."

there are some really cool people working at resorts.

there are also some really shitty people working at resorts.

Average troll, but kind of annoying because this post is a generalization (troll) that some people will agree with and take seriously, which sucks because resort employees the heart of our industry, you wanna be a lifty on a pow day? No way, you say thank you when they bump that chair.

are we talking park crew/sp/lifties? Because those guys are the reason I'm able to ski. Unless someone's going on a power trip and trying to cut my pass for some retarded reason, I treat them with respect.

Wut? This is my 18th season working at ski areas and I'm not sure I've ever seen that. Maybe once?(can't recall but saying it's a possibility.

Pretty much this.

I do think truly passionate people can be hard to find sometimes though. The pay and the bullshit see to turn people with a ton of passion, and decent skills away over time.

Oh I could ignore all this drama, and make 3 times the money with my skills elsewhere? Sign me the fuck up"

I love the employees.. they literally work so that others can enjoy.. if anything they are pretty selfless and usually are not assholes. Being that I am a resort employee.. I see my colleagues as family.. even though everyone is at mercy of the company we still show love for eachother and the guests

Not sure if serious or not but he's just an ass in general to all my homies

I’ve always thought he did a great job as a ticket checker and chair server. Dudes a solid 7 for Tline and he’d be an 11 at any other ski area in Oregon.

Working at a resort is just cover for selling drugs. 10 bucks an hr isnt really worth standing around freezing your tits off. Of course, i think anybody who doesnt condone drug legalization/sale of drugs is a massive shiteating cuck. People are adults and should be allowed to take ownership of their bodies.

But yeah, if you dont have a higher up job at a resort and your not selling, you better have a trust fund or youre gonna be hating life. Resorts need to have 1 person running a lift instead of 4, and pay that 1 person 30/hr instead of paying 10/hr to 4 people to stand around and smile as if they werent crying on the inside.

lifties that can manage to keep a smile on their face and crack jokes with you while blastin good tunes all day are the shit. Ive never done it but I imagine that bumping chairs gets old pretty quick especially when its cold af out.

Bitch bartenders and lodge snob fun police can eat a fat dick though.

Just about every employee (besides park crew & a few lifties) at Holiday Valley in NY were some of the most smug assholes ive experienced while skiing. fuck those people

All of the lifties at Springs are the shit. Most of the ski patrollers are pretty nice as well (at least that’s how it is for me.)

LMAfO super funny trol bro!!!11!1

Just like people in general, some are cool, some are cuntbags. Most park crews at every resort I've been to are cool, the lifties are mostly friendly but some are assholes bc their job blows, and most ski patrol and slopes security are complete douchebags because they wear a jacket with a cross and the mountain's name on it.

You can say shit about employees in literally any field. Ever been to a Mcdonalds? I've had some super shitty experiences with fast food employees, but I've also seen some of the chillest employees ever at fast food restaurants. As far as people who work on the resort go, I've had bad experiences, but I'd definitely say I've had more good experiences. Joking around, messing with liftes that are chill is one of the best parts of the day. A homie at keystone yesterday let me borrow his lighter as he was bumping my chair, last chair too, so he had no clue if I was gunna bring it back. That was pretty cool Id say. We used to have snowball fight with lifties who let us bring 30 racks and grills on the lifts, they were chill as fuck. Moral of the story, if you're an asshole, you'll get treated like an asshole.
