Gonna spend this season out there! What can i expect? Also post any pics of last years setups! need some stoke!

My bad on dub post, Perisher has more parks, think they had 4 last year and thredbo has 2 (not sure i didnt ride there last season) Perisher has a longer lap time thanks to monsterous lift lines unless your good enough to hit the large park on front valley then itl be fine but thats only a triple jump line to a wall ride.

thanks man. I think i will have a perisher pass with the odd session at thredbo. By what your saying that is a good decision?

Both have there advantages and disadvantage. I like perisher cause its bigger. however i hear most of teh locals and good park slayers to to thredbo since there is less crowds. however perisher isnt to bad accept during school holidays. during that time its terrible.
contact Kibs for more info on thredbo's parks he skis there.
Let me know when yur down il come for a shred

heres a vid from the fton valley park in perisher, triple jump line with a couple of railshttp://www.vimeo.com/1801905
ther is a seperate "rail" park with a few jumps as well and ther is a large park over the other side on blue cow. u can see them on a trail map of perisher

I've only been to perisher but I rekon its pretty good. The parks aren't bad but the rails and such are all fairly standard, no creative looking jibbs but still good fun. Laps do take some time as the main park is right next to the main bunny slope so the lifts get crouded. Leichardt park is equally as cool just a bit smaller but still fun, often less crouded but sometimes even worse, smiggins park is tiny and really doesn't have much, its also really flat so its hard to hit any of the features with spead, it does usually have a fun butter box though. Blue cow park is similar, but bigger than smiggins park but also has few features.

Hope you like Australia when you get here

I have been to both Perisher and Thredbo, in my opinion Thredbo has more of an atmosphere but then on the other hand Perisher is bigger. Thredbo is smaller and the runs are more compact and seem to be steeper, in full season when some fresh pow has fell the runs are amazing and have got some lovely pow orientated runs. In perisher the runs dont seem to be as high quality as Thredbo but excel in terrain parks + they also have a halfpipe which is pretty sweet.

Thredbo is getting an air bag this season, the rest of the park is usually pretty sick as well
