Perfect North Thread Revival

So I just got another Season Pass to Perfect. This is the first time I got one since I was 20 (I'm 27 now). Back then it seemed like there was a lot of activity on Newschoolers from dudes around my region, but now it just all seems DEAD! Anybody on NS still shreddin' at PN? I'm trying to get my chops back in the park and start that ski life back up that I've missed so much... I hope you're out there my fellow jibbers, I hope you're out there..

PNs instagram posted a couple vids of Tom Wallish there today.

No idea why the fuck he'd be there, but whatevs

Most likely he made a stop in the midwest for the Tell a Friend Tour which is sponsored by Line (his sponsor). I dont think they went to PNS but he may have made a stop there after another TAFT stop.

He could be skiing with Goepper but they dont share sponsors so I doubt it unless they are friends.

Damn, T-Wall was there?? Must’ve missed him. I miss when like Goepper and those Jibulant guys were ALWAYS filming like literally every day back in that 2009 - 2011 era. I guess Goepper really motivated a lot of kids to shred in the Park. It definitely seems “less crowded” on the blue lift whenever I’m there now, but shit I could be just totally wrong.

Toms girlfriend is from Lawrenceburg area and knows the Alex Perfect. Tom comes a few times a season normally.

Goepper is out in mammoth right now for the Toyota Grand Prix this weekend. Last quali for the USA olympic team. If he get on the podium hell be on the team.

Goepper will be back in late February - early march and we might be making the HOME 2.0 video if there is still enough snow at PN

Ill be skiing Perfect tomorrow with my buddy on the almost 60 degree day. Come say whats up. Im tall AF and will be on my Kush J skis and my buddy will be on my THalls

Yeah fo sho, Bro! I was there yesterday teaching my girl how to approach/hit/slide on obstacles in the jib yard, but dang the icy conditions make the falls so unforgiving... plus I was trying the get back up to snuff on rails as well, so I felt the falls as well. I really hope that groundhog sees his shadow on Feb 2nd, cause I'm just praying for a record late winter this year. Let's see if they can keep it open till March 1st!

I just got a bronze pass to pns for this season too. First time in maybe 5 years. Seems like the park scene is dead at pns now but maybe thats just mon - thurs. I was just looking back at PFC stuff too and looks like they stopped it in 2013 or something but I can't find any reasons why. It's like our generation of park moved on and none came after.

Yeah that's kind of how it feels, isn't it? I mean I guess it makes sense. Look at skateboarding, like the Tony Hawk pro skater games got SO MANY DUDES in our age group to get into skating, myself included. I've skated since I was like 14, so that definitely pushed me to hit the park whilst on the snow. I suppose that extreme sport era is somewhat less emphasized in kids 10+ years younger than us... sucks kinda, for real.

for sure. never thought about it like that but I can definitely see it. interesting that its so noticeable in this region though. like specifically pns especially with goepper being an Olympian. I'd have thought that would've inspired more kids around there to get into park but I guess not. weird to not see the two 40 ft kickers that have always been at the bottom of audition. wonder why they didn't build those this year.

They had the bigger jump line on the other side of Center Stage. I have mixes feelings about that. I like it because you dont get the idiots rolling over them who hit a couple features in the park, but dont want to hit the big jumps hard. So, they were nice to hit on firday. Not rutted out and the lips were nice. The bad part about moving the bigger kickers is that you cant have a nice semi-slopestyle run (jump and rail combo). That area where they moved the bigger jumps to was traditionally dead space where they either had big rollers or just large amounts of snow build up to push around.

Also, those kickers are too high on that section. I had to drop in from about half way down Center to get enough speed.

It was nice to get back to PNS on friday, but I was surprised at how dead it was. If it wasnt for all the ski club kids, there would have been like 8 people there.

As for the lack of people in the park, I think parents play into it too. They are so worried about kids getting injured or concussions that they probably dont let their kids ski in the park. Parents are too overprotective now and its annoying.

Welp, looks like the only logical action is to get a crew and some video cameras and start bringing back the energy! Why do people golf? Tiger. Why do people skateboard? Hawk. Some movements just need a leader(s)...

The park scene at perfects is pretty active with ankilla and the generation under them, 13-18 area, but you just gotta be there everyday. A lot of people live in ohio and kentucky and aren't able to shred everyday and a lot of the everyday riders moved on to college and what not.
