February 6th is Perfects annual big air. We always have a sick jump and its always a good time with a killer vibe and a big crowd. Registration starts at 5:30, and there will be Am and Pro divisions for both skiers and boarders. We have some great sponsors lined up and prizes should be pretty sick.
We had a bit of a preview tonight with our Filmer Friday event and let's just say that the level of skiing at Perfects is at a ridiculous level this year.
We hope to see you all on February 6th! If you have any questions, put them up and we'll do our best to give you some answers.

Combo breaker again.
Jump was pushed out last night, it's looking pretty good. It's a bit more step-downish than it had been, and around the same size, maybe a tad bit bigger. Hope to see you all on Saturday!

Sounds sick dude, cant wait.

oh by the way, what would classify me as amateur versus pro??

i cant spin more than a 7, so would i be amateur?

Hm, perhaps. Unintentional.
And to the other duder, You'd probably be happier in amateur. That's going to limit you to the smaller jump though, so keep that in mind.

Hope you can make it.

We're going to do our best to make sure that speed isn't a problem.
Jumps were cut today, and they're looking damn good. 9s and 10s shouldn't be a problem for you pros, and 7s should be money for the ams.

was sooo sick today. setup was legit and the landings got pretty soft. everything was siickk except for the kid that had a seizure...

yeah but if you take a gnarly hit like that, its not that uncommon to have a seizure/tighten into a flex. Its by no means down playin it. I hope the dudes alright.
But that was a sick setup and some sick tricks thrown down.

photos.perfectnorth.com to see the pics.. we are still uploading the 2nd and 3rd cameras.. so check back tonight and tomorrow for those. Also I have a list of winners on my other computer.. Will post them up in a few. Will work on a podcast this week for Photo Annual and Red Bull Buttercup. Thanks for coming out everybody.Trav

I was a little bit upset with one of the guys on top of the deck after that kid knocked himself out cold. I think he was one of the higher up park staff. He wasn't all that considerate of the situation, kinda calling the kid stupid as he was laying at the bottom of the hill with 10+ ski patrolers helping him, I remember Him saying something like I don't know that kid but when he came to register, he asked me if he could hit the big jump in am, and i told him he couldn't so he signed up for pro. then he kinda had a smart ass comment of I guess he wasn't ready for pro, I and kinda laughed with a group of guys and girl.... I gave the dude a pretty mean look . Id say if that was one of the guys he knew from pns... he wouldnt have said anything. I saw his head hit the lip and the sound it made was a skiers worst dream. I started to pray for him... Hope he is well.

Congrats Abe!

You know I knew you'd be the first person to say something. Who gives a fuck where I am? I still ski at Perfects, did for 14 years so I am minding my business. It's pretty obvious when I can read stories on people in the crew and acting like that, its typical, and it was probably you. Anything and everything people say criticizing PNS good or bad you get all butt hurt.

Yeah dude, it was totally me. You're a freaking idiot. I was at the top starting people, and wasn't anywhere near the deck. I had no idea what was going on with that kid until later on that night.
Here's why I don't like your post. Our park crew might have some people that do things that can be considered "irresponsible," but it a) never affects their job, and b) never affects the safety of something we put out on the hill. That guy probably didn't have any business hitting the pro jump, but we can't tell him he can or can't do something. Luckily he ended up being ok, but the situation could have been a lot worse.
And I'd love to hear how we're "too good for people."

massive props on the music dood it was awesome, i was so stoked when i heard tik tok and the ratatat remix come on

and then at the beginning of party and bullshit the guy hit his head and had a seizure and that sort of unstoked me a ton. hope hes alright

As for the dude who hit his head, everything I have heard is that he is ok which is awesome.
To skier, everyone on park crew and management are always looking out for everyones safety. Maybe you took what was said out of context, but everyone on the staff was pulling for that guy to be ok, I promise you that. Nobody ever wants to see anybody go down, especially like that.
To everyone saying people look down at people at perfects, I admit that I am a local, but everyone on park crew was pumped that we had such a good turnout from non- locals. I like to think everyone is friendly, maybe just go up to them and ask.
Anywho, I thought it was a pretty good comp, and as usual on these forms, lets just all be friends and ski eh?

Thanks man. Yea I felt it was necessary to kill the music when the guy got hurt, didn't want to put any unnecessary crap in his head while he was out.
As far as the actual performance goes. I'll admit flat out I can play about 10x better than I did, I was SUPER censored by the PNS staff because of the kids running around (understandable) as well as ice building up like CRAZY on my equipment (cant say i've ever experienced that before haha). But I'm glad it seems like everyone enjoyed it. Hope to be back next year with maybe a LITTLE warmer temps and possibly a heater!

I'm not raging on the park crew, just that one guy. Cant believe it would be said at all in any aspect.... I got morals and I know when and when not to say something like that. and Just saying I was going to do pro, I'm not at the level of winning at all in pro but I know that I can handle a jump like that and i'm sure the kid that got hurt was okay to be pro, but he was trying a trick i bet he has never done before(dub back).... Whatever I don't like bull shit on a forum. I posted that so people to read it and learn from it... not to attack or defend.

On a positive note the jumps looked amazing and I wish I could have been competing.

I thought you did a good job and was glad you cut the music when he got hurt. It let the people helping him hear him and each other better, and was respectful to him. Props for that and for the good music even with the censorship.
