Pep & Kye on Patagonia

Someone on NS had suggested this weeks ago, but Pep confirmed this today on Instagram/Twitter. In the comments some dude asked Pep if something went down between him and Oakley. Pep answered and denied that was true and said he was sroked to be on board with a company who is more concerned with the impact their product has on the environment, etc. than the bottom line. I thought that was well put and a true statement a out Patagonia on the whole. He also mentioned that he's still on Oakley for eyewear. http://t.co/93llYeKG

Patagonia already puts out the sickest catalogs. Seriously, find one. Every one is better than every mags photo annual. There going to be even sicker now that peps going to be in them.

Nice! Patagonia has THE sickest mountaineering photos in their cataloges. Can't wait to see some shots of these two in there.

Hopefully this means they will start making a more freestyle-oriented gear. I love patagonia but their ski jackets have been consistently ugly for years now.

Their gear is for mountain climbing, not skiing. And they charge a 20-30% premium on their goods to compensate for their carbon-offsetting practices. I dig the founder, he's a cool guy with a good heart, but their gear pales in comparison to a real big mtn skiing apparel manufacturer like Arcteryx.

ArcTeryx is where it's at if you care about performance. I don't give a shit if my jacket is made of recycled plastic bottles.

"Arc'teryx strives to continually become more aware of and sensitive to the environmental impact of our business practices. We evaluate our processes and continually implement new strategies to improve efficiencies and minimize our ecological footprint."
