People who traverse across the landings of cliffs

I haven't skied inbounds for the better part of the last decade, but this year I got myself a pass and have been hot lapping chairlifts all winter. I forgot how annoying it is when people come into a face from the side and traverse all the way across the landing zones of a cliff band just to put two turns in 'over there'.

Today we had a decent dust on crust - enough to make things smooth, but the crust was still very much there. The conditions on their own allowed for cliff drops with a good steep landing to be good to go today - until of course there were a bunch of traverse tracks immediately after the landing pockets, which got me thinking.

Basically every terrain park these days has signs plastered everywhere explaining proper etiquette (don't stand in blind spots, don't hit the rail kickers sideways, call your drop, etc...). What if ski hills started doing the same at the top of cliff zones. Deep down I know that it would be for not and traversers gonna traverse, but it was a thought that came to me while on the chairlift and I figured I'd start a conversation on NS about it.

100% of the people that traverse across the bottom of a cliff band probably don't even realize the issue they are causing so maybe, just maybe, if there were signs explaining why it is annoying they might listen?

Ha. C'mon man. Yeah, let's let people know to not ski where you wanna ski so it doesn't get skied on.

Blown out landings and bumped to shit runouts is kinda what resort skiing is.

Like .01% of resort skiers hit cliffs, you're gonna lose this fight unfortunately. Just find different cliffs

While we're complaining, I hate how there are always at least 3 traverse tracks cutting across a bowl. A high one for good skiers, a mid one for bad skiers, and a low one for boarders. Makes it super annoying when you are trying to ski fall line and cross over them all.

But no, this will never change.

I know... it was just a chairlift thought and figured I'd make a post.

One can dream.
