It is possible you just need to put them on in a certain order. Start by putting on the ones at the corners, two springs at each corner, then start putting them on either end puting on every other spring and alternating ends. Then do this for the sides, and when the sides are finished go back around and attach the remaining spings in the gaps that are left. I hope that made sense and I hope it helps.
