Have been stopped dead in traffic for 2 hours can't move forward can't turn around, all on ramps haven't been plowed-not sure why people pannick over 1' or why plows havent been out yet, our car is gonna get burried by the wind.

Guess we won't be skiing today. People who were thinking about driving don't even do it, should be in regionals but just a heads up to everyone trying to head out today-

^Talk about police state...we were going to nh but changed that and planned to go to mass? Are we out of luck? Haven't even moved in hours here in ct

I offered up the other 18 sleeping spaces I have at my place at sugarloaf and nobody took advantage of it. Time to go get first chair alone I guess

It's not even worth trying to go up, there is a 100 percent chance at any large mountains, all lifts will be on wind hold all day.

Man Shoulda took you up on that offer,

95 is shut down just as a heads up if anyone is taling it...

I'm the second car in a line that stretchs 20 miles or so, thanks to one guy in an accord who's stuck ahead of us, enjoy the snow

my road is like a trail and since it hasnt been plowed yet it has been the sickest powder run i have ever taken in ct haha.

Winds are like, non existant right now. It's fucking wild only timberline is on hold.

SPARKNOTES: WINDS AT SUGARLOAF ARE MINOR THIS IS CRAZY

.... no..................

i would have taken one cause now i'm stuck unable to ski real mountains all weekend....

Stayed in aspen all week. Snowed like 4 inches. Now I'm stuck in the aspen airport, my bags are checked in and it's dumping here.

There is about a foot and I can't get to a mountain this weekend. I only have my urban skis with me, so today is an urban day.

Believe me, I would much rather be getting fresh tracks in the woods, but I have no access to them.

You realize this is essentially a thread of people who cant get to the hill because of driving bans or shitty roads right?

What the fuck is wrong with other peoples children these days.

This is the worst thing ever. My home mountain is 20 minutes away and fucking Dannel Malloy can suck a fat one because I can't get to the pow!!!!!!!!!!!

God damn, couldn't get out of my town yesterday. Sitting Here hotboxing an igloo while all you guys are slaying the pow. Frustration.

I know, I know. East Coasters get 8" of snow and the world shuts down, people forget how to drive, gas stations run out of fuel, store shelves go empty....

8" inches... we are fine in the east coast, roads are cleared very quickly. With up to 3 feet of snow in some areas it is a much more lengthy process. Do you not understand? I love reading these pointless comments. Continue--please.

well yeah also i might mention theres a driving ban in effect in MA and CT right now....

it's pathetic. we live in an area with arguably the most spontaneous weather in the U.S. and yet we haven't learned to be prepared for anything yet. most roads still aren't plowed and the snow stopped this morning.

This was always exactly my opinion, but after taking 9 hours to drive around 25 miles this morning, getting stuck and having to shuvle people out all along 95 since the plows were stuck it changed my propsective a little

took me maybe 150% of the normal time to get to the hill today. we got about a foot where i am in CNY

When a storms affects millions and millions of people, some shit is gonna be sketchy.

From NY, great skiing at creek in Jersey. CT and Mass will probably be ill tomorrow..

12" East Coast - national fucking disaster, get the nat'l guard out here

12" West - average day, gonna go late to work.

unless youre from a big northwest city i.e. portland or seattle. The city goes on complete lockdown over a couple inches. School is shut down if there is any accumulation whatsoever.
