People getting flu shots at the ski hill

I'm not sure if its just my hill but i was eating my lunch with my mates today and we noticed there was a flu shot stand in the chalet.

Like wtf? It was basically a powder day today and instead of skiing the pow these guys (all gapers) were getting a fucking flu shot from some chick with a lab coat in the chalet.

I wanna hear your opinion on this cause I think its stupid to be honest and just ruins an otherwise perfect day at the hill.
 
Seems pretty pointless because you can get a fucking flu shot anywhere. Like even 7/11 probably has a billboard up about them these days.

I've never gotten one though.

when you get a flu shot it triggers the flu within your system in an effort to "fight it" also your arm hurts which would suck for skiing.

Yeah that's not really how it works. The virus is completely dead. All that happens is your body learns to make antibodies to the new strain. It doesn't "trigger the flu" at all.

i try to stay away from flu shots in general.. those are whack. i dont know why anyone would want to get one on a day of skiing.
