Penny Auction Sites

There's always a lot of debate over whether these sites are legit or not. I have won some stuff on QuiBids, and it's actually a pretty sick way to save money on stuff if you know you're gonna stick with the auction till the end.

A few things I've won:

Normally $140, got for 45 cents

Normally $50, got for 76 cents

Thoughts?

Except you didn't get those for pennies on the dollar, you got them for the price you paid for however many bids you bought. Trust me, you aren't getting the killer deal you think you are, most people end up spending the money for bids and never actually win anything.

It's like 60 cents per bid, but they have like mini games to earn more bids and stuff. I always had ways to make it worth it, I only ever put in like 50$ worth of bids and won like 6 things

I had a roomate back in school who went through a fad of using these sites. 95% of the people never actually win anything and usually you have to buy a certain amount of bids for 100,200 whatever it is. Some killer deals to be had for sure if you get lucky.
