Penn State students raise $9.5 million towards Four Diamonds Fund for Hershey Medical Center.

An amazing time, if you ever have a chance to go for a couple hours, it is amazing.

That is our final count.

He is telling the truth. I seriously feel like my life is changed after spending the weekend at THON. Honestly one of the best weekends of my life and I did nothing but stand and dance.

I'm guessing you were there with the snowboard club? I was literally right above you the entire weekend. I don't know if you turned around and saw the "IST" signs in the front row of the upper deck but I was holding them. I was standing there for a good 30 hours from Friday to this afternoon.

I don't know about you, but family hour really got to me. I can't wait to be able to dance eventually!

On a side note, since all the Penn Staters will probably be checking into this thread, check out my new site for Penn State students, http://www.BroPaterno.com .

THON 2011! FTK!

Damn, would have made the thread myself about THON, didnt realize NS would care.
I worked Rules and Regulations (guys in the red shirts, security) its been a commitment since school started in the fall and by far one of the best things I've done in my life. I slept 5 hours since I woke up on friday and that entire other time I was working at THON and helped raise $3200 of the total. Once fo the best most fun weekend of my life, hardest weekend ever, but just incredible. I'll never forget it.
and yeah family hour was incredible, that second speaker, Rupp family, I almost lost it.

The Rupp Family and then the slideshow of all the children who lost their battles with cancer really got to me. But that is why we are dancing for the cure. So one day we can dance in celebration. No parents should EVER have to hear a doctor say that their child has cancer.

As Mr. Rupp put it, "No parent should ever have to have their child die in their arms. THAT is what cancer does."

THON is truly an amazing event. Every who can should get involved, or at least donate next year.

Tucker is literally my next door neighbor. Between thon- tuckers team at our hs and a bunch of ither shit he is really a spokeperson for kids with cancer.

seriously dude?its ppl that care about others, unlike you, you scum gtfo noob

bulk of the donations are from caning solicitation. people giving change at the grocery story and on the street...

I was actually right underneath the snowboard club, I am a PGM major.

I was the guy in the green man suit. Haha, dude everyone cries during family hour. I wish I could dance, unfortunately there are a good eight or so guys that are more involved in it than me throughout the year so I have no chance! Unless I get lucky enough to get chosen independently!

So glad to see a thread on this. This years THON was incredible. Best weekend of college every year I already can't wait for next years. I'm with the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, we were number one in our category which made the weekend all that much better. I wish I could have made a thread during THON to tell people to watch the live feed but I was there almost the whole weekend so I didn't get a chance to. THON makes me so proud to be a Penn Stater and I can't believe we got 9.5 this year!!!!!!!!!!!

We're with the College of IST. This was our first year. We're hoping to eventually grow to the size of the college of EMS.

Good luck guys! COllege of EMS has seriously exploded over the last 4 years. We raised like 30k 4 years ago and made 85k this year.

Haha well you will be able to see your IST sign and you in this video I took.

Pretty good stuff. I will be putting a bunch more from me and others.

For those of you that don't really know what it is, here is another video that recaps the whole weekend.

I'm really disappointed that they don't total the in-THON committees. I am in THON, rules & regs, and they ddint show how much we made.

my cousin Alyssa has been heavily involved in THON for the past 4 years. great shit, congrats guys
