Penn Gillette On Obama's Drug Hypocrisy

Yep. I'm not one of those little fucking stoner 14 year olds that thinks they have the right to smoke dope and be fucking idiots in high school. I am a 20 year old college student who is a medicinal marijuana user. I'm republican through and through but I wholly believe marijuana laws should be revised.
In my humble opinion I believe in legalization and regulation of all illicit substances. I don't want to start and argument it'd almost be nice if people didn't even comment but basically makes an amazing point.
Obama was on Jimmy Fallon talking about that quote from his book about the usage of marijuana and maybe a little blow and people start laughing like it was some fucking joke. I think Penn says it best when he talks about under Obama/The United States drug laws he would be given hard time for those crimes, if not hard time at least enough of a conviction to throw off his opportunities at jobs he has held and universities he has attended. I'm not solely calling out Obama, but if you are going to keep putting people in prison for that knowing full well you are now president of the USA and you used to partake in those activities yourself, I think that is bullshit.
I don't want reelection for Obama, and I think Mitt Romney is a fucking tight ass mother fucker. (and I am a republican, middle of the road, but republican none the less)
Marijuana laws and drug laws as a whole must be revised in America.

haa i love listening to him talk.

i dont know what my opinion is on this. i guess to me weed is so what. why does there have to be such a harsh penalty for it. i smoke weed every now and again. im not an addict, i dont do it regularly, i dont go out of my way to find it and get myself into nasty situations desperate for my next hit. fuck that. i go, i smoke, i chill, its good times, life goes on. who the fuck cares. its like boozing. have a beer with dinner or to watch a sports game once in a while, no big deal. i dont feel like smoking weed every now and again has any impact on my life at all. its just fun in the moment and you move on. i dont know why it has this huge big prevalent issue in society. sure go bust dealers and addicts causing trouble like you would alcoholics and drunk drivers, but if some kid is bunning a 5 piece out with his buddies in the forest after school, who gives a shit?

I agree with him on the weed point and I really agree with him on how he was trying to be the "cool, hip president" on jimmy fallon. If you are voting for a guy because someone is "hip and cool" then you are grossly missing the point of government and voting. Usually what is "hip and cool" isnt always right

i am in the same boat. i'm also not entirely sure which of the million points he brought up he was trying to drive home. but i think i like this guy.

Ya I totally agree. The hypocrisy of the situation kinda pisses me off and I dont know why the media doesnt make a big deal about it.

I agree....i personally don't smoke...im over it have smoked a lot in the past. Im fully 100% for the legalization and regulation of weed as long as they come up with a way of testing for it similar to the way police can test people under the influence of alcahol while driving. I know people claim they can drive fine while high, but when it coems down to it, they arent on top of their game regardless of what they say.

They have field sobriety tests for that. Ya they can't "prove" that your stoned on the spot, but its the same thing with over the counter drugs. Same situation as if someone took for nyquil and went for a drive you know. Still a solid point though, it would be a lot easier to legalize if there was an equivelant test like a breathalyzer.
