sup yall headed to peaks island near portland, me late july. looks like i'll be stuck with my family for a few days.

is there anything cool to do on the island? or do I have to head to portland? ferry?
 
Explore, there are a ton of these old concrete bunker things that are super cool and sketchy, definitely spend some time on the little beaches everywhere and bring a bike. There is a ton of stuff to do in the Old Port as well and ferry tickets are dirt cheap.
 
come visit me in portland and we can go on adventures..i have no idea who you are but itll make for a fun time
 
try to get up to Acadia if you can while you're out here. Bar Harbor and the island in general is a lot more fun. It has kickass hikes (some really challenging ones too), cool sites to see, good stores, etc.
 
My G'maa lives there so I'm there almost every weekend! If you're into sailing it's one of my favorite spots to go. Longboarding is super fun and the only real beach to go to is sandy beach.
 
I think someone said it, but make the drive up to acadia, shits amazing. on peaks, check out Battery Steel, the bunker on the island, bike around, get ice cream. if you're bored with that, just ferry on in to portland, do whatever the fuck you want
