Peak Resorts buys Wildcat NH

Rumor has it that Peak Resorts, owner of attitash, Mount Snow, Crotched and some other mountains in the mid west bought up Wildcat in New Hampshire. Anyone got any facts or what this means for the mountains??
 
no way that would be ill.

I love wildcat theres never any lines and they open everything even with shitty snow. It's also cheaper, and its where all the "locals" ski.

they didn't have a park last year, maybe this will lead to the creation of a park for next season?
 
I'm not really okay with this. Wildcat is were i ski and i love it because of how it isn't crowded, It's a local's mountain and there is some fucking gnarly shit thats unmarked and (mostly) inbounds. If any of these epic runs get closed/made public i would be furious. To the untrained eye, wildcat has 2 glades. But to anyone that knows, there is no reason to ski on the trail.

wasn't there just an article about how the family was investing in the lifts to expand some terrain? coincidence?
 
I ski like 85% park and even though i'd like to see a legit park there, I'd rather wildcat stay the way it is. The mountain is like no other, awesome steeps, bumps, and tight lines. Plus doesn't wildcat have the tallest vertical drop in NH? You know the first thing they're going to do is build up every aspect of the Mtn upping the price on everything, which will intern attract lots of families, gapers, and huge crowds.... FUCKKK
