PC>apple itunes help!! please

so i just got a new macbook for graduation, and i need to know if there is a better way to transfer all my shit, particularily music/videos, from the old dell to my new macbook. right now the plan is to burn all my shit onto a couple of cd's as mp3 or data cd's, but is there a way to take stuff directly off my ipod(which is windows configured) and put it on the macbook?
 
uhh hook them up on the same network and transfer the songs over. thats the best way and FASTEST
 
i have about 15 gigs worth of music and videos i want to transfer, so i wouild have to burn like 20 data discs, how much can u put on a blank dvd? and i thought that u couldnt network apples and PCs
 
dvd is 4.7GB, use those if u have no other method. not sure if u can link a mac PC, i deal deal with shit like mac's.
 
yes this is true. just plug ur ipod in and go to my computer and use it as a removable drive
