You're looking at a starting wage of $8.49 per hour if you get a job with Whistler Blackcomb. If you work in a restaurant or bar, they all pay $8.00 per hour, plus tips if you make them.

haha.. all Aussies go to Whistler... i dont think we know of any place other than that in canada. Well i'm going somewhere diff, Whistler is cool and all and the park is wicked sick, but everytime i've been there, and friends who have seasoned that time of year agree that it rains too much.

It also hell expensive, and when you include your airfare and nightlife... say hello to good friend mr debit

you could be a maid. most places pay from 10.50 hour - 12 hour....or some pay per room....10$ per room or so.

some restaurants pay more then 8$ ....like 9$...lol not a huge difference though.

yeah I'm making 9.50-10.50/hr at my jobs, not bad and EASY to pay rent, buy food AND buy a bike in the summs.

I would be more worried about finding a place to live, over finding a job. The jobs seem to be fairly plentiful earlier season, but not accomadation. This was my experience anyway.

signatures are for pussies

places to live are easy to find in the summer

rent is cheaper in the summer, I pay 400$/mo.

and I work at starbucks and the gap. with starbucks you get a season's pass. but its hard work. there are many more chill jobs here, minus the perk of the free pass.

Yeah jobs are relatively easy although if your getting there in December that's after the job show. I got there late novemeber and picked up work doing house cleaning, paid about $11/hr plus a few little tips. Then I got a job in the local law firm, $10/hr (but more regular hours). Don't foget some jobs have benefits like cheap housing and tickets. But yeah Whistelr is expensive, especially to go out at night.

You going there on one of those working holiday visas?

Ask at STA Travel or look at www.iep.org.au

Not sure if there will be any left for this year because I think they only issue about 6000 a year but its worth looking at.
