Thats new to me.. Is there a difference in quality? Whats better for Level1? I heard iTunes takes a big piece of the pie..
 
I bought it off iTunes last night, but when I go to download it this morning it says that all purchases for my Apple ID have been downloaded, which is fucking bullshit because my card has the charge for the movie, or at least the pre-authorization

Anyone know how I can handle this?
 
I had the same problem last year.. Email them, cant remember where but there is an option on itunes, they will check it out and fix it..
 
Favorite Level 1 movie since Refresh, it may be my favorite Level 1 movie ever, the urban is just so good, Will, Ahmet, LSM and LJ straight murdered, and Real Skifi was nuts as usual. Powder was good (never been my favorite to watch). The only thing may be that the movie felt a little bit long when I saw it at IF3, and Chris Logan's closing segment wasn't as crazy to me as other segments
 
Thoughts:

Wesson, Ahmet, Delorme starting off was banger. Such sick segments and great music. Then the Superunknown segment came along and I thought it was a little weird because it felt like I was watching a park edit from Hood or something, even though there were a couple of cool shots. Then the SkiFi segment came on, and it just didn't do it for me. Once again, it's cool to watch those dudes and all, but I feel as if stuff like that should stay in it's own webisodes outside of movies. Not sure if it was the stupid music, ridiculously tight purple pants, or the holding hands while hitting little booters, but it kind of just weirded me out. Wiley and P White had some sick shots, but then came Banks, who is the biggest hipster ever and the pairing of the hipster music with the hipster skiing was just kinda weird.

Once the Bibbys Cabin segment and Whistler jump segment came along, it was pretty sick from there on out. I guess there was just kind of this weird middle patch of the movie that didn't really click. Or maybe it was just that they started out super hard with Wesson, Ahmet, and Delorme and then went into a couple of weird segments here and there.

Overall, pretty good movie though. I definitely enjoyed Sunny, After Dark, Eye Trip, and Refresh more though. I do respect what Level 1 is doing though by trying to incorporate every aspect of skiing into their movie, but it just didn't flow too well for me.
 
One more thing, the Whistler jump segment could have used a little more of a badass song. That song was pretty cheesy and sounded like it was from American Ninja Warrior or something.
 
banks' or wesson's segments were my favourite, sick skiing just didn't think it fit together so well
 
Don't really agree with any of this, thought it was awesome to see the real skifi boys in the movie and that the movie in general was about the same level as sunny.
 
Probably late on saying this, but I'm always behind on what's going on in the ski industry. Just watched the trailer, and stoked to see a shot of Will(?) in Rochester! Even though they're from Victor, it's still sick to think that Level 1 shot some clips in my hometown. I'll pick this one up once I get a chance for sure.
 
I liked it overall. Banks, LJ, Will, Skifi all killed it. Music was awesome too. Stoked on Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Orwells!

Critiques:

-holy bombed out landings on some of those BC jumps

-Real Snow shot repetition (tough one)

-A bunch of the urban shots were obviously shot alongside the Wally Project, a bit awkward when Wallisch got the better trick at the spot...

-Delorme's part was pretty bland

-kinda ended without much hurrah
 
Everything was so damn sick.

For me though, Banks takes the cake. Ahmet had some sick shots too though.

FUCK, THEY WERE ALL SICK. For some reason this movie just makes me want to ski soooooo badly. More than all the other movies.
 
I thought it was pretty good. Good but not great is probably a good way to describe it. Sunny was amazing and was certainly a hard film to follow.
 
Partly Cloudy had some great moments, but I thought the quality of some sections was higher than others. In Sunny, I thought all the segments melded with each other well and the quality consistent.
 
I can definitely see where you're coming from. Some segments were eh. But for real, some were outrageous. I guess you could say Sunny was consistently better and Partly Cloudy had some more awe moments. That's what I thought anyway.
 
banks came through with a killer 1st full seg for level 1 and I am stoked for many more to follow! creative lines and banger tricks!
 
Spot on.

Definitely worth the money of course.

Spoilers from here: Superunknown finalist seg was meh... I was expecting something more. Also, the soundbites were pretty hit and miss. I could use less of it and I think Sunny had less soundbites. Skiing was still great though. That's why you buy the film, right?

O and Nick Miles' big ol backflip. yes. just yes.
 
loved it! good music and awesome creative skiing

loved the skifi part and will wessons part...Sun Valley was crazy too
 
To be honest I got this feeling too, I was like aww man it's over? Lots of the segments had good buildup and the last one did not.
 
skifi should stay as webisodes but still some wierd stuff from them, Bank's part was sick but was thinking the end segment would end with more of a banger.
 
kinda pisses me off that the people that pre-ordered the dvd dont have it yet but the people that waited for itunes already have it
 
definitely their best movie yet. will's part was the most fucked thing i think i ve seen, ahmet followed it up with a seriously good mix of pow and urban, and LSM has my new favorite style. this video was a little long and i think its about time for ski movies to move on from the park shoots. make some other edit or mini video for the park shoots, i dont want to see it in the feature film any more
 
i'm kinda tripping that people aren't blown away by dahrkness's last two shots. rightside dub 7 and a blunted dub underflip 9, both into pow. i've never seen either of those done into pow. i think you fools are tripping.
 
I loved how it seemed like the seg was gonna end after the tree tap (final shot from teaser) , and then kept going with those bangers.
 
I pre ordered last year and felt the same way, and ended up buying on iTunes as well cause I didnt want to wait a week.

They should at least offer an iTunes/Vimeo code to redeem the movie online while you wait for your pre order. I have no problem with paying more for a DVD/Blu Rai, or paying the shipping costs. But as a consumer, I will always choose what gets me the content first .
