Parks in CT?

I live down on the beach of Connecticut so there's no mountain within a town or two near me. I know Ski Sundown has a solid set up but that's over an hour away so I was wondering if there's any good parks in Southern CTc or right outside of NYC.

lol nope welcome to the great state of CT where there is nothing. Feel bad for you man, what town do you live in because southington might be closer however anything here is small

Powder Ridge seems like they have a pretty good park, and they just reopened this year. The only other parks in CT I know of are Southington and Sundown.

lol place is a dump, i worked there the season it reopened in the rentals building that place needs a lot to be considered good

Saw some pics and vids and it seemed like the park wasnt too bad, haha what makes it a dump?

Sundown is you're best bet in CT. Everything else is not even worth mentioning. If it's feasible, I would highly suggest making the drive up to Mount Snow. It's about 2 hours from me in NE CT and its well worth it. The parks can't be beat and the terrain on the North Face is decent if there's snow in the trees.

What other ski places are in CT? Besides what was mentioned, I know Mohawk and Woodbury. Woodbury is hilarious and people actually pay for that!

Well to start the snowmaking is trash, they are only able to cover half the slope because they only use pole guns

The runs are icy as fuck and have ice chunks/cookies everywhere because the only person that knows how to run the groomer is the owner and he knows nothing about running a mountain

The park is trash because nothing is measure, everything is ride on, jumps are literally straigt up and down and the park crew manager is shit, he knows how to ride ill give him that but know jack shit about building a park. Also all the feature have nails and screws sticking out of them everywhere

LOL woodbury is actually smaller than the hill in my back yard and I'm not even kidding.

Drive an hour or two north you'll have some crappy but decent mountains (catamount, butternut, etc)

Another hour and a half gets you to southern VT (mt snow, stratton, bromley)

I mean i live in RI so theres really nothing around unless if you feel like driving 2 hours to wachusett the only descent park thats not that far . Theres supposed to be this place in boston called "The Ski Lab" that was going to be like a snogression but they don't have enough funds to get it off the ground

I can vouch for these two. I haven't been to Sundown in a few years though (for obvious reasons) buts it's always been fun

Sundown was nice last year, but BWalmer left so im not sure about this year. Carinthia has always been good, and Butternut isnt too bad.
