Doing flips = freerunning.

Jumps are too big, all rolls are executed incredibly bad, this way you fuck up even more.

0.32: Great for your spine bro.

I've skipped through the video so I may have missed something but I did not see a single saut de chat or sauté de precision.

You guys think you have things under control, you have not! Yes you make big jumps, everyone can make them it's just a matter of fear but doing jumps that size without proper training and technique will fuck up your legs and you will only find out a couple of years down the road.

I'm saying this as someone who trained with probably the best tracer in all of Benelux for some time.

dude in green is going to get worked if he keeps rolling like that. btw, tell them to do more than just jump off of shit. more vaults and cats and precisions etc...

fuck off lol.

i thought it was pretty cool, although the flips are the only thing i couldnt do. I (and likely many more ns'rs) could easily do the other stuff

You haven't read it right?

Some Background:

I started doing parkour back in 2002/3 then for me it was the same like these: "Let's jump of big things and make a video."

In 2004 I changed and started to train "real" park our in the way David belle intended it.

I also trained with a guy who was pretty darn good.

In 2009 I quitted because of my study and other sports I focussed on.

During those years I've been very involved in the "hardcore" parkour scene. Hell, I even tried once with some guys from the original group that David Belle started ages ago.

I've amassed quite some knowledge about parkour, and I intend to share it to help your friends.

The drops they do aren't hard to just perform they just take some balls.

And whilst they aren't feeling it right now the way they land is putting incredible strain on their knees.

The force of landing from a height of 2m is pretty high. Now the Parkour roll is an excellent way to transfer the downwards energy into forwards energy. But almost no one can do a proper parkour roll. A Parkour roll isn't a judo roll and especially not a gymnastic roll over your spine, in a parkour roll not a single part of your spine will be in contact with the ground. A good parkour roll will be fluent and no speed will be lost.

Wait for 0:29 in this video, then you will see two excellent parkour rolls in a row. No the jumps aren't that big at all but his technique is flawless. Also watch the rest of the video for some great examples of good technique in parkour..

(And this is also one of the guys I used to train with.)

And please tell this to your friends.

That was the best roll i've ever seen.

And that guy makes some ridiculous Saut de Chat to Precisions.

OP listen to this man!

You guys can all talk amongst yourselves about their technique and how it isn't parkour and they're not doing their roll outs right. Whatever.
what they are doing right is filming and editing... obviously.
The follow cam is so pristine. the way the camera violently shakes as they run to get the follow shot makes the clip so much more intense. Not to mention the use of Bass Cannon as the song. It just really shouts uniqueness and creativity.

Jumping off a couple roofs with the occasional tree flip =/= parkour.

I need to go watch some old school french edits to over power that.

I understand hipsters, shit sucks when it gets mainstream.

And background noise blew

English is not my first language, far from it and I was typing on my iPad, so I made a little mistake. It isn't really fair to judge someone on that when you can't even seem grasp the concepts of capitalization and let's not forget punctuation.

I was just trying to help you and your friends out, why should you be such a bloody dick about it?

Right now I'm just hoping you will continue with your silly antics of jumping of high things thus resulting in the imminent destruction of the Hyaline cartilage in your knee joints.

Good night.

You're dumb, its really mainstream. For the last few years especially.

People don't even know what parkour is, they just jump off shit, slap the name on there, and make edits with shitty music.
