Parker White Leaves Tomahawk

Crazy news this morning. He seems like the perfect guy to go to 686, but wasn't he the team manager at Tomahawk? He just seemed like the perfect fit. Plus it was just sick he stayed with an all-black, motorcycle, punk rock, no fuck giving brand.

He deserves that check tho...

minus the cold black heart quote Ian's ending with tomahawk was very similar to mine. it was a big bummer.

Jimbo is extremely unprofessional and I hope Tomahawk fails miserably. No room in skiing for someone like him. Never buy his stuff.

whatd he say? i have no audio on work computers

Basically Tomahawk never paid anyone. Everyone was on their team because of Parker. No one gives a fuck about Jimbo Morgan or Shaun Palmer.

If Parker feels inclined to switch out of Tomahawk, that is definitely saying something huge about Jimbo as a whole. What a shame.

oh wow that's too bad. not the first negative thing ive heard about jimbo, that's unfortunate

Now that Parker is gone, there is an almost 0% chance that Tomahawk will find success. Him leaving says volumes about the company as a whole, considering he was part owner for a period of time. Ever since Ian talked about his experience I haven't seen the company in a good light, so this isn't the most surprising thing I've ever heard

Damn. Everything I had read made it seem like Jimbo was the man. What does this mean for The Big Pic and Electric tho?

Why would anything change between his eyewear sponsor and the projects he films for? Only difference now is that he wears 686 instead of Tomahawk, and likely has no business relationship with the later. Don't worry, I doubt that TBP is going anywhere

Ok, I need some specifics on this Jimbo cat.

Everything prior to this thread points to him being a super rad dude; an innovator in our sport who has truly helped bring up some huge names from both a sponsorship and mentorship perspective.

Then this thread rolls around and we've got people saying he is scum, that they hope he fails miserably, etc. Why all the hate now? Did he recently do something to drastically change the perspective that others have of him? Or is everyone just lying about him in past interviews?

He's a very intense guy. He's either 100% in or 100% out.

If Jimbo loves you, he loves you, and if he doesn't love you, he fucking hates you. He's done incredible things for Parker, Dahrk, Liam, T-Rains, etc, and those dudes will always go to bat for him. In my case, Jimbo was fucking awesome when I was a part of Tomahawk. Invited me to the headquarters, gave me everything I needed, floated me a bunch of electric stuff, offered up his place in tahoe for me to stay at, the list can go on. I totally bought in to what he was putting out, and was down. I would have never said a bad thing about him. But when I sent an email out to everyone that had helped me along the way saying I was going to stop filming and thanking them for everything I had been given, he flipped out because I didn't send him an email directly, then demanded I send my gear back. It blew me away that the switch could flip so quickly. Ian, Shane and whoever else was on that podcast were totally right that I came to that brand because of a relationship and respect that I have for Parker and a desire to see him succeed. They never cut me a paycheck, and I doubt they do for anyone on the team because he's bootstrapping the whole thing. I don't wish him any ill will, just wish that things would have turned out differently.

To clarify, you accepted a bunch of free shit from him before the season, and then quit skiing "professionally" just before the season to do other things... then he got pissed and asked for all the stuff back? Am I screwing up the timeline?

Yup, it was a full calendar year later

I heard they dropped LSM too. Something fishy is going on......... makes me question buying a tomahawk jacket...

Why would you ever buy one? It's shit quality, features and materials.

LSM left on good terms and is starting his own project.

Quinn had to leave for a full Armada deal.

Tomahawk supported both of their moves and appreciated their time there, both are truly incredible guys.

Here is what Tomahawk posted about Parker moving on back on June 7th on their Facebook page.

"Tomahawk International would like to Thank Parker White for all his contributions to the brand over the years. He is leaving to pursue other possible interest's out there in the big world and we wish him nothing but the best of luck. Many safe travels and thank you for your time with the Tomahawk Tribe.

Peace" - Jimbo Morgan

Hope that might answer any questions.
