Park: With or without poles?

i do both some days no poles and other days poles i don't know why i do this tis very strange

first

without poles %95 of the time. its just one less thing to worry about losing, dont have to buy poles, and i just like the style. I know im gonna get some hate for it

I think poles are pointless, just another thing to worry about where the hell it is. Pole-less skiing can be smooth, if the person doesn't wave their arms around like an Idiot.

I ski with poles 99% of the time. It took them off only when i'm trying new grabs or an hand drag.I don't like to ski without them, it's weird hahaha. Only hitting a rail without them seems a lot harder.

I didn't use poles last season. I used them again this season. Poles is definitely better. Every once in a while I skied without poles.

i will fucking kill you. use the motherfucking searchbar. this fucking topic, which will never be decided for you by kids on the fucking internet, has been debated more than tom wallisches clothes. holy fucking fuck fuck.

i didnt use poles for like 3 months this season (my first 3 months in the park) and then i used them one day and i felt like i had more ballance in the air and on rails, and i think the style is better... plus ur not skating aroudn lookin all dumb lol so i use them 99% of the time and i only dont when im hand draggin or somethin liek that

while i agree that this topic is over debated. i have one more reason to add why i dont use poles most of the time. There are just times where poles get in the way, and without poles there is nothing to get in the way

you weren't here back around the 08 ( right after idea came out) season where you would always see no poles threads on the front page, and the debate was just dumb and pointless. To sum up all of those threads: DO WHAT YOU WANT!

And there is a way to hold your Soda, your Sweedish Fish, your Girl Scout Cookies, or to throw a Frisbee or Football.

^All things which I do without poles

i am gonna do what i want i just wanted to see what other people were doing. like a census of what other people are doing. so chill out...

hha another one of these threads wow but yea i use them i like to push a few times before hitting a feature it just makes me feel comfy for some reason i just get free poles from the rental shop

searchbar dude
use short poles, some people look retarted without poles it depends how good u are
long poles also look kinda retarted when ur in the air spinnign and grabbing while theres two long skinny metal things pokin out around (haha)

yeah i forgot my poles one day and it just didn't feel natural for me. also kinda scary. i guess eventually you would get used to it but for me poles are the way to go.

when i go to CO i use poles cause ill ride the whole mountain, locally in IL and WI i dont cause its not even worth the extra weight

i usually ride with 38" poles all the time, unless its a pow day, then i use reg 46" for obvious reasons.

but for some reason ive been teleing in the park w/o poles. dont ask why, its just a thing i do

i heard your head blows up if you use one of them. i stick to using one pole to get the better of the two

oh my goodness is this a sensitive subject for some of u? lol. i was originally a racer so i use my poles often. then i didnt use poles for a bit because it was a way to really get grabs better and it looks like u get the grab better too. but now i dont really need them but iv been doin a bunch of pole tricks on rails/jumps. sooo much fun!

i started jumping alot more this year and i really enjoy doing it without poles.

while doing 9 blunts with poles i happened to get my tail in my pole strap, then i wouldnt be able to get it out. so i would crash in the landing.

sometimes poles and sometimes with out. poles are for dancers not skier. i heard that somewhere and i liked so i say it to my friends when they bug me about not using poles

With poles.
Easier to get speed.
I don't know why but I balance better with poles too.

Same here but since the last month I've always used my poles cause some young racers saw me without poles so they started not using them for park so now, no pole skiing look really gay.

When you are not very good at park, usually no pole skiing makes you look bad cause you will not know what to do with your hands so they will most likely be waving everywhere. Anyways thats how I look at it.
