I was wondering how much harder it is to hit rails with aft mounted skis. Ive used center mounted skis on them, but i got another pair and they are mounted at +3 and kinda wanted to take em in the park
its onyl when you get more than +3 back that it starts to be a problem. If the swing weight of your ski is low then the difference between centre and 3 is fairly minimal, and if you are any good at all it wont make a difference. The improvement shredding groomers is definately worth mounting a bit back if its not solely a park ski.
No worries. Back in the day we all started with standard mount. Destroy them...slay everything with no regard for you skis. Ignore the giggles from the spoiled kids and stomp every trick you can. Shut their mouths with you skill.
Once you have broken them, remove the bindings and find another pair of cheap ski and mount them however you want. Park skis don' t last long if used properly. You will have many pairs come in and out before your done.
i did this with my first park skis, at the end of the season i started skiing rocks and pretty much anything and everything, some of my most favorite days skiing
