Park Skis

Whats up guys, I hate to make yet another "which ski" thread but hopefully more people than just me are interested in this. I tried the search bar but didn't find much. So I'm trying to figure out what the best park skis this year are. Based on the Freeskier Buyer's guide I made this list of what seem to be the favorites.

The Dumont 09 or 10

Pipe Cleaners 09 or 10

Nordica Ace of Spades

Liberty LTE

Volkl Wall

AR6

Atomic Patent

Dynastar 6th sense spin

6th sense superpipe

I'm a big dude (6'4 215) and so I don't like floppy noodles, however I already have volkl karmas from a few years ago and those are just too stiff for me to do what I want in the park. Any advice would be awesome thanks.

I'm going to suggest either AR6 (or Pipe Cleaner if you don't do a lot of rails) or LTE. Neither are noodles and will hold you up, but both are super fun, poppy, park skis that have excellent durability and control. Just my opinion, but those are the two I'd look at most (based on the info you gave)

Because pipe cleaners instantly explode if they touch a rail. fact.

no... they're fine on rails, i've been using mine on rails for two seasons and there's no damage from it other than what you would normally see on a pair of park skis.

pipe cleaners are the best park ski ever, but they honestyle get rocked by rails, people will say that's not true but it really is. I skied them for the past year and a half and my base is seperating from my edge and i've ripped out like 2 inches of edge underfoot. Maybe it was my pair, but I'm super bumbed cuz I have to get new skis now. If you're just hitting jumps and the occasional rail then you'll be all set and they truly are unreal jumping skis I highly highly recommend them for jumps, but if you hit a lot of rails like I did they just don't hold up.

I'm your size but lighter, it sucks, eh? I wanted 184 Extremes (187 equivalent) but can't get hold of them without that Schitzo binding shit. I'm pretty sure I'm going for 185 Spins now. Ace Of Spades are meant to be sick but they're too expensive for a park ski that's going to be trashed in a year. AR6 or Pipecleaner is my backup if the Spins don't come through.

Good to know about the pipe cleaners, I'll definitely steer clear of them. The thing is, I'm really interested in the Dynastars, but I'm still prejudiced against them from the troublemaker days when their skis always fell apart. Have they stepped up the durability recently?

pipe cleaners are the shit brah i wouldnt rule them out i ski ar6's and they're perfect. and last forever.

just cause the race base on the PC is a better base, but the S7 Base on the AR6 is much more durable. I when I say a lot of rails - I mean A LOT, like here on the East Coast where pretty much the only thing to do is rails and small jumps it doesn't make much sense to have the sintered race base. They are still very durable but the S7 is much much more durable.
