Park skis with all mountain capabilities.

Hello, I'm thinking of picking up new skis. I weigh 110lbs and 5'7 tall. I ski 70% park and 30% jibbing around groomers, I also try to get off the runs when we get fresh (nothing over 1-2 feet of pow).

I curently ride townships which I quite enjoy. I would like some sort of rocker but not necesari. And some flexy tips please.

I've been looking at:

Domains

Iron Maidens

Rossi scimitars

Punx(I know park skis....)

ARV

I'm open to sugestions (no on3p, sorry but europe...)

Do you think that for such little powder I need a rockered ski?

Get the Armada AR7's. Its the dopest all mountain with an incredible park capability. Really light, stiff enough for higher jumps, etc.

Okay thanks I think I would prefer something slightly softer though.

How does the Punx compare to ar7, and ar7 compare to ARV.

Thanks people.

No, ARV's will fit OP's needs a lot better. If they still had full sidewall maybe, but IMO i'm not a fan of cap/wall outside of the park. Punx are symmetrical, pretty skinny underfoot, idk seem like a 100% park skis to me, really nice flex though and light as a feather. OP i'd check out the Rossi storm, a bit wider and softer than the scratch, but still has full camber and sidewall. Don't know much about K2's, a lot of people love them though.

K2 domain fits your needs perfectly. While being 80% park 20% all mountain, the wider underfoot and jib rocker mean that you can have tons of fun in the park, but can still carve some turns on groomers and freshies. This ski is suuuuper playful and soft and i actually am in love with it. I personally recommend it for sure!!

I've skied every ski on that list except for Scimitars... Domains and Punx are pretty poor all mountain. Domains have slow bases, soft flex and no camber, not a good all mountain combo!

Iron Maidens hold a nice edge, bust through choppy snow nicely for a narrow ski and the little bit of rocker makes turn initiation nice and smooth. I liked them but they were a bit stiff for me, I prefer the Chronic.

ARVs are a good ski, carve nicely, float pretty well etc. I prefer capwall to full sidewall though, it just feels nicer in the air since it saves weight. I would get ARVs if your priorit yis all mountain (more groomed than pow) with a little park or you like a wider ski.

Scimitars, I rode the old scratch bc which was a bit like the ARV but better. I can't imagine that the rocker doesn't detract from the carving performance a bit. I can tell from the specs that i'd rather have these in the park or in the pow than ARVs though.

If I were you though, I'd get the Chronic. It's the lightest option, holds nicely on groomed, pops well, butters nicely... I liked it a lot. It's my favourite ski under 100mm to date.

anything symmetrical is going to ski like shit outside of the park. good options would be Line Chronics, Armada ARV's, K2 Iron Maidens, Line Blends.

If you want rocker, the iron maidens, blends and chronics are the skis to check out, if you want to continue with normal camber get the arv.

I gotta say that i'm a huge fan of all of these skis, though i did get a bit of chatter from the ARV's and Iron Maidens when screaming down groomers at mach 10. so keep that in mind.

Thanks a lot people. I know you say symmetrical is shit outside the park but I love my townships for everything I do. So bearing in mind I only get a few days a year with anything a foot deap. And the rest of the time I'm in the park or going down some groomed what do you think is best punx, arv, chronic. I don't see what makes arv so good allmountain, last time I lopked it had camber and about 88ish MM waist?

chronic. ARVs are 95 underfoot by the way, they also have bigger tips/tails than your average park ski which makes them a little less divey. I'd still get the chronics though.

I would go armada no matter what. Everything I have ever got from them has been solid and worked like a champ.

If you want something slightly softer than the AR7, but in similar dimensions, you should consider the Rossignol Scratch.

You might look at Line Blends. They're a bit wider underfoot, so they'd be great for the occasional day with freshies. They're also super fun just jibbing around on groomers--really fun ski.

I would look at the pb&j. I would get these in a heartbeat if I had money, heard a lot of good reviews on them to!......or you could go with the line chronics, wich would also be perfect for you!
