ive been skiing for a few years now and i want to get into park. i can do any terrain on the rest of the mountain, but ive never really touched park before. i want a ski thats light, quick, and durable so i can start hitting boxes, rails, and jumps. im looking at the tw pros and the chronics right now. any suggestions?

First, whatever you do, don’t get TW pros or chronics. Prodigies or Volkls would both work and you can get them relatively cheap. What were you skiing on before this?

i skied the volkl kendo 88s last season, theyre definitely made for all-mountain rather than park. also ill definitely check out those two but why not the tws or the chronics? are they bad quality?

Definately poor durability unless you baby them, if your not sending anything too crazy they should be fine but you’d definately be better off spending a little bit more on armadas or something nicer, faction has had questionable durability in the past but I think they’ve gotten better. Look around on evo or other sites for something on sale

Depends on where you’re skiing, prodigy 1 and 2 both work well in the park, if you ski in the Midwest/East Coast I would recommend the 1s but if you’re West Coast the 2s are ideal.

Look at Facebook marketplace and whatever else to see what is available. Just look for a twin tip that is less then 10 years old and has decent bindings. If you need to remount you can bring it to a shop or if you have a drill and time it’s easy to do yourself. If you already have a pair of skis for the rest of the mountain, you can buy a pretty beat park ski as you don’t even need the full edge.

How big are you? If you are set on Line, so many kids at my local hill have Honey Badgers and they seem to hold up Ok for smaller people.

I'd recommend the Liberty Helix 88. Super light and nimble, and it's symmetrical so it feels really balanced and ideal for progression of switch skiing.

I don’t think you’ll destroy Lines since ur just getting into it, and I really liked the TW and the Chron.. but they just haven’t been holding up for people as of late and it’s a shame. But park skiing is tough on skis. I’d chose the Volkl revolt if I were you. While your shopping tho, don’t go for something super soft like a Blend or a Wet right now. They’re not very forgiving on bigger landings… its more of an advanced park rat thing for after u have the skills dialed.

good luck man!
