Park ski recommendation

I've got my tax return coming up from last summers work so I want to invest in some strictly park skis. I currently ski 178 scratch bc wrs (yellow and white) for everything, I ski Baker, Big White and Whistler so I don't get into the park much. I picked up a y2play for grouse and want to improve my park skiing over next season since I'll be able to go pretty often. I'm looking for something not too expensive, but wouldn't mind paying more for something really good. I'm thinking of trying to get a deal on an end-of-season sale.

I'm 5'11 and 190 lbs, looking for something lightweight and easy to get pop from. Think of me as a park beginner, because all I really do if I do get into the park is 360s, 180s and small rails. I want something great in the park and dont mind if its shit on the rest of the mountain, because I'd ride the scratch bc's anywhere else. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Liberty LTE in 178 would probably suit pretty well.

Really light, super poppy and also can shred around the piste as well. If you want something shorter the 171 could be an option.

I'm hearing good things about the afterbangs, any thoughts?

Also, anyone familiar with anything from rossi?

Would it be better for what I'm looking for than say... an anthem, or whatever k2's similar park ski is? I'm a pretty big guy, so getting a good pop in a light ski is definately my top priority.

Also, I think the 177s would be best for me, what do you think? (5'11, 190 lbs) Think they would be too small?

This years (and last years) K2 equivalent would be the disorderly, the only ski I own. I like it a lot, its got pop, my edges are flawless somehow, and It's soft. I'm east coast and I like to ski park, rails in particular.

Next years k2's are really different, go check they're SIA page for them, they have an interesting concept. Can't remember what they're called though.

if youre thinking of sticking with rossi skis, the s4 is the equivalent to the old scratch fs wrs, and the s3 is more of a fat park/allmountain one ski quiver thing

So I'm thinking between Liberty LTE's, Line Afterbangs, Rossi S4s, and Armada Thalls.

Any ideas which will be best for what Im looking for? (Best for park, light, poppy, doesn't need to ride good all-mountain, good for a 'beginner' in the park)

The more I look around, the more I'm thinking the Afterbangs are good for me. Light, lots of pop, symmetrical, and pretty cheap. Most of the time I'll be on my scratch bc's out on the mountain, but these seem like a great park ski for the money.

Another choice is to take that $2xx and try to find a last years invader or rossi fs.... decisions decisions

i have the afterbangs and they ride great in the park have a lot of pop only con is they chip pretty easily but its only cosmetic i go with the a-bangs they also have a low swing weight

Hey guys, I just picked up 177 'bangs for $278 shipped, I think these are going to do the trick for me. I had a tough time choosing them vs last years invaders, but I think being 5'11 and 190 lbs the slight extra stiffness and pop are going to be nice, and the little extra weight wont be too noticeable. I hope I like them as much as some of you guys do!

Thanks everyone for your recommendations =)
