This is another what ski i should get. i will list my info then the '4 ski's im looking into ordering.

i am 5,11. 178 pounds, advance skier, sking style = 65ish park / 30ish groomers / 5ish POW(ride in ottawa,.. so very little good POW spots)

I would prefer spending less money but however i do have enough for the anthums.. i just want a ski that i can have fun on, rather dependable, and light(easy to spin and such).

ski's i am looking at are:

2009 Line Invaders, 178 cm, $485 CAN: i am aware they are park ski's and of the butter zones etc... but i heard they dont last very well and fall apart easly.

2009 Line Anthums, 178 cm, $620 CAN: park ski, i think wider base then the invaders, same butter zones. not sure how they hold up.

2008 Armada Pipe Cleaners, 176 cm, $485 CAN: Heard their an awsome ski, but have like a race bottom sheet or something, witch make them faster but heard they get thrashed easier on rails.. which concerns me because i wont a ski that will last for around 2 seasons AT LEAST.

2008 Armada Fleet El Rey, 178 cm, $450 CAN: all mountain ski? other then that im not sure how it will hold up in the park or how the ski is anywase.

anyone who has any knowledge or input please dont hesitate to post. anything is helpful.

Have you thought about something like the AR6? something a little stiffer than the vaders or anthems if you are spending 1/3 of your time shredding groomers

PC's aren't a bad choice

unfortantly as much as i would like that ski the place im ordering from doesnt have any more in stock. so i just kinda narrowed it down to those 4.

pipe cleaners are way better than any of those skis. and just get a few bars of P-tex and maintain the base and you shouldn't have any problems

invaders are ILL. Maybe you want some moments. or the suspects? I don't know much about the armada ones but the invaders are sick for sure

what is the purpose of the bars of P-tex? im not up to date on all the stuff to maintain your ski's(at home anywase).

p-tex to fill anything in the bases, ie core shots or rock/rail damage ect.

The Pipe Cleaner's are by FAR the best ski on your list. I think looking for someting like the K2 Extreme, Salomon Teneighty, Line Chronic would all be god choices for you.

If you want a durable ski, Head is known for their quality, I NEVER hear complaints about their products...

i think im going for the pipe cleaners because their pretty cheap. any problems about the 08 models i should know about before i snag them?

El rays are actually a really solid ski.

A friend of mine has them and says they are very durable and ride really well.

i have ar6s and theyre really solid they carve just like my race skis and i think they may be a little better all mountain and the little pow days

485 bucks for invaders? priiiicey. definately go for pipe cleaners out of those ones. and if youve got a core shot P-tex isnt always the best solution, sometimes doesnt hold to the ski as well. if you take them to a shop they have extruder guns that press it in there real nice.
