Park Passes?

I suggested this to Dave via email. I also was talkin to John the other day about, it seems like a great idea. Atleast for the intermediate and advanced parks. Here is the email i sent to dave:

I would like to suggest the addition of "park passes" for intermediate and above terrain parks. I really think that the crowds in the park are getting out of hand, and not with people that actually know how to ride, but with people who have no clue what they are doing. The image of skiing and snowboarding these days is airs, rails, and terrain parks. People get a set of skis or a snowboard and automatically think that they can do 540's over 35 foot jumps. These people come into the park, and crowd it up and ruin the features. I see about 5 different terrain parks, ranging in experience levels. My suggestion for only adding the park passes to intermediate and advanced parks would still allow for anyone who is interested in trying to ride in the terrain parks to try, but they would simply have to start out small, like it should be. If they enjoy riding the parks, they can go into the lodge and get a park pass. This would also eliminate a lot of injuries. I have seen on numerous occasions that the ski patrol has been called to the park because of people who shouldnt be there in the first place. Many other mountains have already instated the "park passes," Whistler included. Please really consider this suggestion. It would mean that the park crew would have to do less work on grooming, it would help lower the rate of injuries, and the people who actually have the skills to ride the parks, would be a lot happier if they didn't have to deal with these inexperienced riders all the time. Thanks.

You guys should send something like this so we can keep duechebags who jump off the side of lips onto rails out of the parks, atleast until they are able to hit shit.

so like lets say they charge 40$ for the season, and theres someone good thats in town and wants 2 ride the park for 1 day, should they have 2 pay 40 for it?

its sooo annoying when tourists want to watch teh youngsters and sit right on teh jump to get a good view, or when parents bring their kids that snowplow all the waay down...

Or they should make it like a 5 dollar thing but you have to watch a park saftey video, thats what a bunch of other mountains do.

it is so needed. i saw a tiny little round child almost get beheaded on hrm this weekend. i skiied down and let her dad have it.

they should appoint me the guy who just chills up top checkin passes... but you are gonna have to give me more than a pass to get buy...

but cam, then you couldnt be able to ski, you would have to sit at the top of the run and check shit all day

HAHA Cam we all know what you want! but really why would you just stay there checkin passes ... you would want to be skiing!

or i guess you could just lap the park all day and regulate on fools who try to poach, doesnt sound too bad

i rember way way back when at shredows before skiers were let in the park i snuck in on my snowerblades and was hitting jumps and i got caugt and kicked out for a year... yeah that pass shit is fuckin gay.....
