Park Crews

Is it me, or do park crews made of skiers have better parks? I go to Whitetail, where the entire park crew is snowboarders this year. It sucks. They don't do anything. The park has barely changed all season and they do zero maintenance on any of the features. It's literally the most pathetic park crew I have ever seen. However, another resort (Ski Roundtop) which is about an hour from Whitetail, has a park crew with a good amount of skiers(not all skiers). And their parks are really nice right now! It just sucks because of the extra driving... So are park crews made of skiers better? Or is it just me?

There's certainly a difference between features that are designed for skiers and features that are designed for snowboarders, which is especially exemplified in really creative or unique features and things that are designed for beginners.

It fully comes down to work ethic and the individuals in the crew. For example, Brighton's park is usually immaculate (even though it usually snows all the time there) and they're almost entirely snowboarders. The only difference is how the features are set-up. Most snowboard heavy crews build stuff that's more creative/snowboardy, while skiers tend to build bigger, more straight forward stuff stuff...not the rule, but definitely noticeable.

It's not because they're skiers or snowboards, its the people/crew/management that dictates the park maintenance/modification/etc.

True but i have realized that skiers seem to like skier made parks because like mentioned above, there are more skier friendly features.

'skier friendly' is basically the same as 'a good feature'. If a feature isn't skier friendly, most snowboarders probably aren't stoked either. I used to feel the same way as you did but then I realized legit snowboarders don't like a shitty build 'not skier friendly' feature either.
