Has anyone taken the park and pipe instructors certification course in Canada.

hahah! but it is a good way to make money doing what you love to do. although i agree with it being a babysitting job, which is why i just could not do it.

I've been involved in the PSIA (US) park and Pipe accredidation, but having looked up all the info that CSIA has on it, I'm actually trying to find out if I can take the CSIA freestyle/freeride course when I'm not a member (but I am PSIA Level III, which is ISIA certified, recognizaed as equivalent to a CSIA level III).

wheres the psia freeride certification this year? my mountain is pondering starting a freeride program for skiers this year, they have one for snowboarders already.

 
PSIA-E tryied to get one going last year, there were only about 10 of us that got the first one, and there weren't enough people to continue with the other courses. Hopefully this year there will be a greater interest and we can get more than just the Basic Skills and Safety offered. It all depends on demand though. So far I know events are scheduled at Okemo and Mountain Creek, and I think Mt Snow possibly too.

yea i got mine last year at blue... its 3 days of dicking around. all you need to be able to do is a 3, some grabs, and small rails. there is nothing to it really.
