Im 16 and have been skiing since i was 3 and im very good outside the park and just recently Im starting to get into the park so i was wondering if there was something i should do before just hitting a rail or something like that.

start off with the basics like sliding rails and boxes and hit jumps and try different grabs and then mov on to simple spins like 180s 360s and join the trick tip cult

File your edges down underfoot is what he means.

This seems like a really bad thing to do to your skis (which it kind of is) but it's going to be worse for your collarbone if your edges are too sharp.

If you dull them you should be A-OK

Like the smart guy above commented, join the trick tip cult, heres a link:https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/cult/home/id/1690/t/Trick+Tip+Forum/

My only advice, being a fellow amateur would be, practise getting comfertable in the air by doing simple grabs, then practise 180's popping off/onto the piste or off little bumps then when you feal you're ready, try an throw a 3.

When it comes to boxes/rails, DONT LEAN BACK this is almost a reflex for most people (including me) and it throws you back and gives you some nice hip bruises. Consider getting padded shorts if your gonna have a box/rail jam.

Another thing is, you can't go half-hearted. GO BIG OR GO HOME!

Good luck man!

It's cool man, I'm in pretty much the same boat as you, but im 15. I'm pretty rod hot outside the park... modest, i know;) I'm no expert in the park, but i know all the talk hehe. Just waiting for my holiday to try a few things! Only 26 days now :D Are you in UK or USA? Be sure to add me we can compare notes...+K wouldn't hurt either ;)

quit using winky faces, you're not trying to get a picture of this kid's titties so stop that please. To both of you good luck on the park transition. Do what feels right and push ya self
