Hey guys, been doodling around with this project for a while, and now it's ready to throw out there.

This is the first of (perhaps) a few papercraft ski sets, starting with:

Check it out and download the PDF at:

http://www.paperski.com

In case you're confused, it's basically a free print and make it yourself ski toy.

It's got some cool features like buttery skis, hand-draggy arms, and a tree for him to jib around on, like the one 20 seconds into his goddamn rad part in Everyday is a Saturday. It can be put together with or without glue and he can take his skis on and off, so hopefully you can mix and match skis later.

This isn't really a project I want to keep slugging along on if nobody's interested, but I'm hoping some people will have fun with it, and if you know a good ski scene (a skier and a feature), hit me with it and it might happen!! Cheers

lol I made a pair of these in middle school and shredded the fuck out of our lunchroom. Pretty sure Iraq_Lobster made an edit too but I dont know if he posted it here. PM him for details cuz his paper skis were sick

Yo, I fucked up the first post, but it's at:

www.paperski.com

Also I haven't really gotten anyone else to build it, so if anything's not working out, or people think there should be instructions, just let me know.

Why Not? It's cool though! It's a great collection if your a Ski Lover. It will look more nice if it's placed in a box frame. Very artistic dude, Good Job!

Haha this is actually great, when i have arguments with my friends about how a trick is thorwn or how it looks we always end up using rubbers or lighters to show how the trick is and shit...and obviously it never really works, i was planning on making something along those line for a friend as a private joke kinda thing but yours looks much much better than i would ever make mine like...

If you make another graphic anytime, you should defo go for the thug ns rider, no poles, xxxxxl jiberish hoodie ns cap and headphones and saga camo pants, for the lolz u know...skis should be filthy riches

Also, You should make a full setup of skis from skinny park to super fat pow skis, like the ones youve got. This is such an awesome idea I will definitely make a couple of these in the morning. My friends are going to think Im absolutely crazy haha. I already jib sidewalks and now ski action figures, damn hahahahah.

Also it would be cool if on the website you had a thing where you could customize your skier (outerwear, eye wear, skis, and maybe poles)and then you could print it.

FML these things are quite fiddly. It took me a couple tries, but now I have one that is pretty good. I'd strongly recommend printing it on harder card paper and using duct tape on the interior to keep it strong. I used PVA glue to glue the skis together, and they are holding up really well to my imaginary nose-butter dub cork. Ive made a couple rails with some art straws, and Im using some yellow thick note-taking card to build features. I'll upload some pics when Im done, gotta do some work now. This is actually a really great tool for visualising tricks, as the guy above said, no more using rubbers ( he meant erasers, just the european word) and lighters for visualising that rodeo 5 you're gonna huck tomorrow. Or next season.

OK guys, added instructions to the page, to make the feature, and to make the skier.

If people have requests for a skiier (eg Harlaut), post a link to a segment/video and give me a time where he hits a sick or iconic feature, with clothing that he's known to wear. Then I'll use those.

I'm more familiar with old school videos and skiers so if you make shit easy for me it'll happen!
