Pandora on PS3

On ps3, you used to have to use the web browser and just open a web page with Pandora. It was extremely inconvenient because it was basically the desktop version, using the ps3 controller. Shitty.

Well they just rewrote an HTML5 version, which is optimized to work in the browser window. It's as close to a dedicated app we can get at least until PS4. It's actually quite beautiful and works very well. If anybody uses pandora on their ps3 you should check this out.
 
I just read an article about how using the apps is too difficult, because all the manufacturers of devices don't want to give up control. So everyone has a different looking app, which makes it hard to add new features etc. They are moving to this so that every tv, bluray player, gaming system can have the same system. An app would be way more convenient, but it seems like they are trying to head in the opposite direction.
