Pandora Likely Closing Down

Sobb, you were so great for finding me new music.

anyway

Pandora, the internet radio station built around your tastes, will probably be going out of business soon. After getting slapped by the CRB with exorbitantly high royalty rates to continue playing music, founder Tim Westergren says the company is facing a "pull-the-plug" situation. There's one congressman trying to help Pandora and it's million plus users, but the service is bleeding money in the meantime and its future looks grim. I'll be very sad to see it go, since being reintroduced to it recently through their excellent iPhone app. What great idea do you have for us next, CRB?

yea it cant be used in canada anymore i dont know how long this has been going on but i just checked it now and you have to be in the us

Sheesh, pandora got me through some long nights at the office, it'd be really shitty if it ceased to exist. Granted I didn't read the article, but would they consider making it have a small user fee? Not that anyone likes that.. just thinking outloud.

dammit...WHY does the universe want me to be stuck with shitty rap music on the normal radio???

Pandora is sick.

Thats retarded...

I've bought so much music because pandora introduced me to so much...

sad sad day for the legitimatly good music industry.

Slacker.com is what i use. Its pretty legit as far as a radio station goes, you can pick whatever artist you want to listen to

yeah this was def one of my favorite things, I almost cried the day i triend to log on and it said it was no longer available in canada
